We were staying in the nearby Premier Apartments and discovered this little gem quite by accident on our way into town. Sometimes you get a feeling about a place when you enter and this had an instantly nice atmosphere. The décor might be described as retro modern. There is a huge and very intricate mural titled "Under the Mersey Moon" inspired by a Jimmy Rae song, which takes up most of one wall. When we asked the very attentive waitress about the painting she produced two free postcards of the mural which was a nice touch.
There is a good choice of food but a speciality is the all day breakfast which is really tasty and at about £3.50 ridiculously cheap. There is free WiFi and reductions for students. It was a real treat to eat here after a few very disappointing and quite expensive lunches in several other city centre restaurants. Highly recommended!
