Warm & friendly welcome. Staff extremely helpful. Spotlessly clean throughout. Kitchen always stocked with drinks & breakfast food for self-service. Set-up to eat and drink in kitchen or bedroom. Only slight problem was getting in to secure car park. Some info about this would have been useful i.e. gates open automatically but slowly when car gets near. As woman staying alone it felt a safe place to stay.

My wife and I stayed on Saturday 23rd November. What can I say that has not been said by other reviewers. Friendly, clean, different but most of all enjoyable. There is no formality and the staff are really helpful. Yes, the location and exterior does shock you but hey once you get inside and settle in it is fine. If you are flexible and willing to try something different give it a go. Worth every penny and much better than the Travel Lodge/Premier Inn type premises.
One thing it is on the junction of a busy road and there is traffic noise but if you are looking tranquil serenity it is not for you, if you want somewhere safe and friendly to put your head down it probably is.

Stayed for 1 night, had read previous reviews so wasn't surprised by drab exterior. Inside it's fine, clean and comfortable - bed was excellent. We were in a double room en-suite (with shower but no toilet) however the shared facilities are clean and bathroom was right opposite our room. Bathrobe thoughfully provided so you can nip out without having to get dressed in the morning! Good selection of self-service continental breakfast items in the shared kitchen, and tea and coffee making facilities. Trays provided so you can eat in your room if you prefer. B&B is situated next to a busy road, but the double glazing is very good at sound-proofing so we slept well until 7.30am when some kind soul woke us up whistling - Grrrr! We'd had a very late night watching my brother-in-law's band playing at the Cavern, and didn't get back until 3am - staff are quite happy for you to come and go at any time as you please once you've checked in. They were all very welcoming and helpful. Ten-minute bus ride into Liverpool centre, and only 5 mins. by car from M62. Recommended for budget break, excellent value, would stay here again.

Room Tip: En-suite room has a shower but no toilet, however bathroom is very close and shared facilities are n...

Hi,
We stayed at this hotel this weekend. Arrived and were greeted and helped to book in. There are only 6 rooms and a couple downstairs. Security staff were brilliant, even though one of them was a blue lol. The whole place was kept nice and clean, no problems whatsoever.
Cheers,
John and Pam (ROOM 5)

Room Tip: Pay the little extra for a room with a En-Suite

We stayed a couple of nights at this spotlessly clean B & B.

Very friendly staff, attentive and gave good local advice, they gave us a cab number and we never had to wait long city center for maximum £6.00 late at night. Incredibly secure parking, simple and plentifull breakfast.

Yes you have to get used to the office type of feel to the place but it is such good value there is no complaint and for once there is plently of light in the rooms if you want to do some work.

TOP Tip is to buy a Saveaway ticket, they won't allow me to post the URL for this public transport service so you will have to find via merseytravel site. It is an absolute bargain and even covers you for the ferry tour on the weekends and even the train to Chester for £5.00

Room Tip: Down stairs have very good size of double beds and rooms are large

Stayed here 31 August for 1 night. Clean. Great value for money. Would stay here again.
Plenty choice supplied for breakfast too!!
Not too noisy either as there's only 6 rooms.
Only £5 for a taxi into the city centre.

We booked this B&B quite late after finding it on Trip Advisor, and were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The owners were friendly and helpful, although it took us a little while to find the way in as it was so secure. This included having an off-road gated car park. The B&B itself was very clean and bright, with modern pop-art style deco and bold colours. We booked a double room, not ensuite, but there were 2 showers and toilets down the hall and we never crossed paths with another guest. The room was spacious with a double wardrobe and bed, and had room for a side table and chairs without being crowded. We went on a hot day but a fan was provided in the room. We were worried it might be loud as it was on a main road, but when we closed the windows there was no problem with the noise. There were blinds and curtains on the windows so it was definitely dark enough, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was self-service in a kitchen down the hall, which meant that we could help ourselves to drinks in the night, and take breakfast back to our rooms. There was a choice of croissants, fruit, yoghurts, bread and cereal- so continental rather than cooked breakfast. On the whole very good though.

Room Tip: Corner rooms seem to be larger. Worth getting an ensuite if you don't want to go far to the bath...
