“Ok for short trip”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2014

Clean well equipped except for no toaster. I didn't like the bed conversion worried it may fall down otherwise very handy for city shops and amusements. Good securety. Stayed for 3days longer would have been ok.

Room Tip: Didn't hear any noise from in or out expect rooms all the same

Me and my husband stayed here for a week and we were very suprised by the beautiful apartment we were allocated. It was 5 minutes away from the city centre and central to most facilities. We had never stayed here before and didnt know what to expect but we definitely had a lovely suprise and it made our holiday all the more special. The apartment was clean and tidy with a great layout, it included a bed that neatly folded into the wall and turned into a lovely sofa. There was a kitchen with a top hob, a microwave, dishwasher, cultery, plates, cups and glasses. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful aswell, I was chuffed with the massive walk in shower. We had everything we needed really to have an absolute fantastic holiday. The reception was also available 24/7 for everything you needed, there was also a gym, laundry room, lovely lounge area and breakfast bar. We will definitely be using the Adagio again in the near future, me and my husband could have stayed another week we felt that comfortable in it. Will definitely be recommending the Adagio to friends and family that intend to visit liverpool.

Room Tip: Floor 3 was lovely nice and quiet.

The Adagio Aparthotel is in an amazing position for exploring Liverpool, being only 5 minutes walk from the high street and Liverpool One and around 8-10 minutes away from Albert docks. I think the hotel is a conversion of part of the old Lewis's department store building so it is all new, very well fitted out with quality fixtures and is spotlessly clean throughout. I think it receives a lot of long stay customers as it has things like garbage and laundry rooms. The security is also top notch as you need to use your room key card as a fob to get anywhere near the rooms.

We were really happy with our stay and the Kitchenette has everything you need, including washing up liquid (which a lot of these places don't include).

There are two reasons why I have not given it 5 stars. Firstly, due to the fact that layout of the rooms aren't explained very well on the websites it is offered on and shows a sofa on many of the pictures. This gave us the impression there was a small separate lounge area but this sofa is actually the bed, but lifted up vertically and you add cushions on. We have stayed in other serviced apartments and they normally have a Lounge area, whereas as this is pretty much just a standard hotel room with a small Kitchenette.

Secondly, my biggest annoyance was a very large (approx 45cm across) pillar right in the middle of the walkway from the bed area to the rest of the room. It couldn't be in a worse place and you find yourself tip-toeing around it all the time. I cannot believe that this couldn't be removed in the conversion or the layout designed better around the pillars. Notice they cleverly hide this on the pictures! You perhaps expect better for £100-150 a night.

Despite the pillar issue we would most likely stay there again due to the numerous benefits of the place including it's position. We may just ask to see if there are any rooms without pillars in future......and I suggest you do the same!

Room Tip: Ring them and ask if they have any rooms without a dirty great big pillar in the middle of the room...

Thanks for taking the time to write about your recent stay with us. Due to the structural design of the building and the converstion from the former Lewis's department store a number of the apartments have the original posts in them. Please book directly with the hotel and request at the time of reservation that you would prefer an apartment without one of these and we will try and allocate an apartment without.

I do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you again.

This was a choir visit to Liverpool and so twenty-five or so descended in one party. We had thought the self-catering concept was interesting but were blown away on arrival by the quality of everything in the room, down to dishwasher and microwave. Design of the apartments was supoerb. The technology worked fine (except that one of the two lifts was out of action) and the decor attractive. All the staff were very helpful and there was a good range of cooked and uncooked breakfast materials. The hotel cannot be blamed for the remodelling of roads going on around it, but will be enhanced in its access when that's all been done.

I organised accommodation for a choir, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the visit and all were very complementary about the Adagio and its “unique” features as far as we were concerned.
We found all the staff very friendly, the accommodation met all our requirements and the breakfasts were leisurely and plentiful.
The location and quality of the Secure Parking car park was also ideal, (but will be even better if the road opens again to get a direct walk!)
The email correspondence from the Sales Manager could not have been more helpful and it was an absolute pleasure setting up the visit with her. Her personal attention to detail was excellent.
