“Excellent value for money”
Reviewed 21 March 2014

We stayed for just one night, the room was extremely clean, everything was in the room that you needed, only thing is that we noticed that is a negative point was only one plug so if you want to use the kettle and charge your phone you can't but hey, that is being picky.
The staff on reception were excellent, very friendly and very helpful.
We went down after 5pm to enjoy the complimentary glass of wine and cheese and biscuits, what a lovely touch this was, it just started our evening off in a lovely way.
We had never heard of z hotels until this stay but will certainly use again.
The location is right in the centre of Liverpool City Centre, just seconds away from the shopping and from the fantastic night life!
VERY VERY IMPRESSED

My wife and I stayed in the z hotel at the end of January. An inside room with no windows. We were attending a wedding in the town centre so we thought it would be nice trying this place out.
Our first impressions were good. Swift check in then we were off to the room.
The room was ok. If I'd have known how I'd feel about it I would have booked one with outside windows. I felt a bit boxed in if you know what I mean. The bathroom is just in a corner of the room and is separated only by smoked glass.. It's a good job the wife and I know each other well, let's put it that way.
The tv was great though. 42"" with Sky channels and everything.
We paid £60 for a room in town on a Saturday night which is great value indeed.
We would stay again but in an outside room with windows.

Very friendly staff, they went out of their way to make our stay more memorable. Convenient location which was only a short walk to they city centre. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay here again.

my wife and I stayed on a Friday evening whilst visiting friends. We went to the hotel mainly because of its location.
Excellent friendly staff; nice gesture of free cheeses and wine when you arrive or later, if prefered.
Romm was small, functional, very clean and served its purpose. The idea of the glass walled bathroom was actually a worry. But it was fine and worked very well. We dined locally and went to finish the evening in the Matthew street bars; great place. we will come again.

Room Tip: it is what the advert says; small rooms, but great location

We were on the road with my parents and decided (at about 9 in the morning) to spend a night in Liverpool. Looked around online and found this hotel which was offering a deal room, £36 for a double room with NO WINDOWS (it is specified when you book) and £48 for a double room with windows. No breakfast included. So we booked it and when we arrived the lady at the reception told us that she would upgrade the room with no windows to one with windows for free so that we could have two adjacent rooms. In addition she told us that between 17:00 and 20:00 they would offer all the clients a glass of wine with some cheese and other nibbles (which was very nice). The rooms are very modern, maybe a bit small but perfect for an overnight stay, especially at this price. Some of the people travelling with me noticed that there was a bit of noise overnight coming from the street but to be honest with you I slept amazingly. Also if you use to travel with your laptop or other apparatus with HDMI out remember to bring a cable because you can connect it to the 40" Samsung HDTV (through a socket in the wall, first time I have seen it in a hotel) and watch your movies! We could not find any hairdryer in the room so remember this if you are going to need it. There is free wifi in all the structure, and there was a scratchcard in the overnight stand through which we got a 20% discount for food and drinks (we used it for the breakfast the following morning). In our case breakfast was not included, but if you want it it costs £4.95 per person. Re the position it is amazing, 3 minutes by walk from the Cavern Club and the Cavern Quarter and 10-15 minutes or even less to get to the Albert Docks and the shopping area. If you arrive by car they have an agreement with the NPC car park in Vernon Street, £8.00 for 24 hours rather than £20.00. They give you an extra ticket at the reception which you insert straight after you have put yours in the machine to get the discounted price. A last note which may vary in the future: the reception of the hotel at the moment is in the Cafè, so don't worry go for the counter and they will check you in. Apparently a part of the ground floor is being renovated so reception and cafè are the same.

Room Tip: Rooms with windows might be noisy.

Myself and my wife stayed at the Z hotel in Liverpool for 2 nights we were greeted by complimentary glass of wine and cheese board. A good start to a good stay at this hotel.
Room 101 is a room to the front of the building and street noise can interfere with sleep. Room 827 is a wonderful room, small but perfectly designed and to a high standard and very clean with a great view of the city.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent central location for shops, entertainment and restaurants. Small, very clean and well equipped with complimentary toiletries and water.
Staff friendly and helpful. There is a cafe attached to the hotel
The only negative is no parking
I will recommend and defiantly stay again
