“Ideal for a short break in Liverpool”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

Had 1 night at this hotel. Perfect location, so handy for Liverpool One just 5 mins walk to it. Same to River Mersey for the Liver Building, Albert Docks. Told about 20 mins to walk from Lime St station but on return jumped on the train at Moorfields station a 1 min walk from hotel.

Hotel lovely. Rooms very clean & large. Was on 7th floor so had a good view over the city aswell, didnt hear any noise from anywhere. Bathroom was small only a shower did ask at reception on check out & was told family rooms have the baths in so next time will book a family room. Breakfast good.

Will stay here again when in Liverpool.

This hotel is handy for the Dale Street, Cavern Club and the Pier Head areas and is only a few minutes walk from the shopping areas. Easily walkable (15 minutes) from Lime Street station and only just around the corner from Moorfields underground station.

This is a typical Travelodge hotel (limited facilities) but it is clean and functional and has a bar / restaurant (which we used for an evening meal). All rooms are en-suit, have tea and coffee making facilities and a TV.

We found the evening restaurant food reasonably priced and good quality.

Although we stayed on a weekend we experienced very little noise from other guests or from the streets outside (although we are many floors up!).

A good budget hotel (we booked months in advance and got rooms for £23 per night! Plan ahead – book well in advance!

Room Tip: Go for a higher floor to reduce steet noise!

Excellent location for Matthew Street (Cavern Club) which you must visit when in Liverpool.
As for the hotel what can you say, it was very clean, however there was no wardrobe or drawers in the room, (not good if staying for any more than 1 night.

The room was very well maintained and spotless clean, very comfortable bed, however was let down by very thin curtains. There was no protection at all from the external lights or sunlight. (people needing a sleep-in beware).
Overall a very nice hotel, just minor things really. If you go for one night Excellent, any longer take a blow up wardrobe..

Excellent hotel, veryfriendly & helpful staff with clean modern facilities brilliant. Our stay was fantastic but the online booking was awful, I had a complaint about the booking which wasn't answered for 2 weeks so I put my comlaint on Facebook & it was answered within 12 hours. The problem was resolved but shouldnt have ahppenned as it was due to misleading info on the website.

Just returned from 3 days in Liverpool. Good clean quiet hotel, bed really comfy. Excellent location for all the tourist attractions. NCP car park 5 minutes away & they give you a discount voucher on checkout. Cannot fault it for the price we paid at £21 per night

Had to go to the Liverpool branch of a company I worked for last year and found this Travelodge to be exactly what I need.

The price can't be argued, especially with the kind of room you're getting. Plenty of space with standard en-suite, every surface looked completely polish and the room as a whole was exceptionally clean.

The location is also brilliant, right opposite the Exchange building which was incredibly convenient for me in my work and was a mere five minute walk to get to ONE shopping complex.

The only disadvantage with such a great place is it can feel slightly empty due to its scale. What staff there that I saw were all very polite and professional, it just can feel a tad isolating when you walk to your room and not bump into other visitors.

On the whole a brilliant and fairly priced place to stay if you're in need of a hotel in the centre of Liverpool.

Great stay with a group of friends for St Patricks Day. The manageress and the bar tender were great, nothing was too much trouble, they helped to make our stay comfortable and fun. Will definitely go back.
