Mrs B and I visited Liverpool this week and we got a bargain stay at this Travelodge for just £25 for the room per night. The room was spotless and pretty big. Pod style bathroom which was great. We were in room 114 which was only 1 floor up and on the interior of the main building. Some noise from staff doing laundry in the morning but we were up anyway. The location is perfect, everything was nearby, the staff were very friendly and reduced parking costs in a nearby car park was only £16 for 2 nights! Liverpool was bright and vibrant and we will be back using this Travelodge.

4 of us stayed in a family room midweek for 2 nights. Can't recommend highly enough. Considering what we paid this was fantastic value for money. So quiet so had great sleep and the buffet breakfast was what you would expect of a budget hotel.

Clean, good sized rooms, We were put next to the elevator which I expected to be noisy with passing residents be we never heard a sound. I preferred the constantly manned desk in London to the empty desk, needing to ring the bell for attention but that's just my point of view. Despite booking a family room none were available without waiting for a room to be sorted, there were only two of us so it wasn't a problem and Im assuming that's why they didn't have the room ready but when I booked, there were only family rooms available. All in all a good priced over night stay.

Upon arrival at the Liverpool Lime Street Station, we have to take a cab to go to Travelodge Liverpool Central. Upon Arrival, we went in for check in. The check in was quick and fast, we got 2 key cards at no extra charge. The lobby is bigger, the Elevators are bigger as well.
The rooms are cozy with One Queen Bed, a writing desk and a chair. The floors are carpeted and there are coat hangers next by the door. The LCD TV are wall mounted and the rooms are well heated.
All rooms are non smoking. Offenders can be liable to pay GBP 150.00...
The toilets are very basic with standing showers, flush bowls and large wall mirror and a small bottle of liquid soap + shampoo. There are extra toilet paper just in case...
We went to Albert Dock and it took us about 30 minutes walk...

Room Tip: Book early to get the best deal.

The staff at this hotel are brilliant, such a shame that I can't give a better review.

We booked two rooms for three nights over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The room, although compact, was clean and comfortable. Slightly odd 'damp' smell, but only our room, and not in the other room that we paid for.

Friday night was great, and we slept well. Unfortunately that was the only night out of three that we did.

On Saturday night we could hear the thump, thump, thump of 'Garland's' nightclub in the adjoining street, loud even with the windows shut. Not being adverse to the odd nightclub trip in our youth we weren't all that bothered to start with, until we realised unlike the 'olden days', this club stayed open until 6am. We did manage to sleep between 6am and 8am, but spent Saturday fighting the fog of sleeplessness.. There was also a very loud group of drunken women swearing and shouting inside the hotel on our floor between about 2 and 3am.

On Sunday, a street party started 5.15pm, with music even louder than the club. 'Garlands' was also open overnight, so the combined noise of the two was pretty horrendous, and we got virtually no sleep yet again. We had asked staff at 5.30pm if there was any chance that we could move rooms, but being a Bank Holiday weekend, they were fully booked.

Must point out that the other room that we paid for was on the other side of the hotel, and our family in that room couldn't hear anything.

The room had secondary glazing, so was completely useless at noise reduction; Travelodge really need to think about investing in proper double or triple glazing in this hotel.

The location is ideal for exploring Liverpool, close to the NCP car park, and on the sightseeing bus route. Sadly though, our sleepless experience means that we will be looking at a different hotel for next year's marathon/ half marathon trip.

Room Tip: anything that backs on to the road where Garlands is will be the stuff of nightmares!!!

we came in our droves to run the Rock N Roll marathon series, over 50 of our running club stayed and ran , many of us booked in this hotel
i chose this one for location , price and the family rooms had a single bed and pull out single , rather than a fold out sofa bed one, my children are 17 & 12 so comfier for them

the room was large, we had a bath/shower combo, all bedding provided, given extra pillows when we asked

was lent an ironing board and iron , supplied extra tea bags in plentiful supply
it rained heavily , i borrowed a hotel umbrella too,
the staff we so friendly and everything we asked for was sought with a smile, including directions etc
the night staff were cheerful on our lively return late evenings and we had pizza in the bar area , cooked quickly and lovely and hot

a very big hotel , was a bit worried about hen/stag dos/ noise but was not disturbed at all , we were on 3rd floor, slept lovely

very happy to return here again

the half marathon was excellent too

only negetives: the water pressure is a bit dodgy and the bath runs really slower, shower was fine, but after a 13.1 mile run , it would be nice to have a deep hot bath , i used the kettle to top up and make hotter

Room Tip: family rooms were large and have plenty of room
