My family and I traveled to Liverpool this past week. We had an amazing experience staying at the Richmond. It was a brand new, elegant hotel with all of the ammenities anyone could ask for. The service was excellent and the hotel staff were very friendly. It was located within walking distance to most Liverpool attractions. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: If you are staying with a family, I highly recommend choosing an apartment, rather than a hotel room...

Booked as a last minute break with Booking.com and this hotel didn't fail to impress! The concierge is the nicest man imaginable, and the receptionists are so helpful - they literally couldn't have made us feel more welcome and allowed us to get the most from the short stay!
The valet service was such a relief after having a nightmare with the Liverpool road systems, and after realising we'd left something in the car, the concierge personally escorted us to the car park to ensure we didn't get lost! (Like i said, he was so nice!)
The hotel was quiet, (with the exception of the air con in the room, which was a little noisy - but you can easily turn this off!) clean, and modern. The smart TV in our room didnt work, and the lock on the bathroom door appeared to be broken.. (which we mentioned when checking out) but as we were only staying the one night this didn't bother us in the slightest! If it had have been an issue however, seeing how helpful the staff were - i think they would have resolved the problems with ease!
The hotel is walking distance from Liverpool One (maximum 10minutes) and feels genuinely very safe and prestigious! The presentation of the hotel is exceptional, and the rooms/bathrooms feel exceptionally luxurious! I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a break in the City!

I stayed here with my partner on 5-7th July 2013 and what an amazing hotel so modern and clean staff were brilliant so helpful and a special mention for les the concierge he's just amazing.. I would recommend this hotel to everyone it's like the ritz of liverpool!!

Just arrived home from a fantastic couple of nights in Liverpool. We stayed at The Richmond and got a great deal on a Junior Suite including breakfast. The hotel is perfectly located to walk to the busier areas like Mathew Street, etc. The exterior of the hotel is grand yet discreet. Our car was taken by the concierge to be parked whilst we checked in...great start! Everything about the hotel smells 'new' and looks luxurious. The staff were incredibly friendly...in fact I would say it's the friendliest hotel I have been to in terms of staff overall and they are a credit to the owners. Special mention to both concierges we dealt with and front of house staff who were extremely helpful and courteous. A couple of things that could do with improving but may well be just teething problems: in the junior suite there is a kitchenette...could do with a dishtowel which could be swapped out when maid service are changing the towels from the bathroom each day; would be good to have a menu at breakfast time offering perhaps different types of eggs, toast and beans, etc.,....only having a fry as a hot option isn't what everyone wants in the morning, particularly when everything in it is actually fried and not grilled....perhaps this option would be good to have for the guests; the pillows were far too soft and need to be changed for the standard of hotel. Apart from that I would say this new hotel are doing great and should keep up the good work.....it was my first time in Liverpool and I would definitely be back and would definitely stay at The Richmond each time. :-)

Stayed here on a lastminute.com "secret hotels" deal, and what a deal! Hotel is very modern and beautifully decorated and the smell of paint was still in the air it was that fresh. The staff where very friendly and the bonus of having a valet park the car for us was a great extra as parking in this area of Liverpool is tough (take cash to tip the valet guy as he deserves every penny).
Our room was very nice with a window seat and the largest bed I have ever seen. The bathroom was also very well done out however the overhead shower in the room did not work but there was a hand held shower that we could use which was adequate. We informed reception about the shower and they where very helpful. Also the room had a smart tv which either did not work or we could not figure out, either way we could not access the "smart features".
All in all the hotel is fantastic, great location, great style.

I was pleasantly surprised to have a suite with a bedroom, largish bathroom, small lounge and a kitchen. The lounge and the bedroom both had 40" smart TVs, unfortunately the batteries in both remotes had run out, and one of the televisions did not want to show any channels. The staff were very helpful though and changed the batteries and spent time trying to get it working.

The only downside with the Hotel was that there was only one window in the whole suite and that was in the Kitchen and opened onto scaffolding and a brick wall, so the effect was a little claustrophobic. I think that should have been mentioned when I booked the room.

Breakfast was at least as good (and possibly better) than those I sampled recently at the Hotel Indigo and the Hard Days Night Hotel.

As a brand new independent property to Liverpool, we took the commercial decision to open for business, whilst we completed the last of the snagging process. This did include some internal scaffolding between the neighboring building, which is being removed, so understand your comments.

This was a last minute choice hotel. The staff where very friendly and helpful. You could still smell the newness of the hotel. Great value for money and would definitely stay here again and again.......
