“Saturday morning - get there EARLY”

Great Homer Street Market
Ranked #117 of 225 things to do in Liverpool

Paddy's market (as I know it as from being young) or Gracie market - is excellent! It's packed with all sorts of stores. There's a store that does cheaper (not cheap) designer makeup including: MAC. And a stall that does a lot of high street clothes. It's great for cosmetics and the odd clothing when you "drop on"
The meat stall is fabulous. With amazing, good quality and good cuts of meat. CHOCKER at Christmas!
It gets extremely busy every Saturday (even more so round Christmas) so get there early.

The "Greatie", as it is affectionately know, is a popular market, not far from Liverpool City Centre.

A regeneration company has applied to the City Council for permission to move the whole complex to Dryden Street, close by. There is hoped to be a refurbished space for an indoor market and a part-covered outdoor area, with ample parking for both traders and members of the public.

This is welcome news for an area of the city that desperately needs investment.

There are traders selling goods of every description here and it is a good place to experience a little pleasant banter, mixed with a smattering of Scouse humour.

When the heritage closed we started going here, found to be even better than the heritage.
Parking can be a bit of a pain but once you are used to it and go early it's OK.
Plenty of stalls selling everything imaginable, with a sense of humour thrown in.
