One needs to remember that it has only just opened. Staff enthusiastic but some need more experience / refining and rooms still need minor snagging.

Biggest challenge is the building work taking place on the derelict warehouse the other side of the dock... Air compressor fires up at 7am and runs until 6.30pm, only two chaps working on site...,, so could be there a very long time...

Not a problem for me, but had I been there for leisure in the soon to open spa, I would have not been impressed....

Occupational hazard of regeneration.... Cracking job on the conversion, I'm sure I'll be back.

We stayed at this newly opened hotel for one night. The hotel is finished beautifully, is very luxurious with good size rooms. The bar and restaurant area is very nice and the staff are friendly. The food is very good and the breakfast is freshly cooked.

At the time of our stay it had only been open 10 days, and there are areas for improvement and further training for the staff, but the accommodation itself is first class!

My only negative comment is the location, which is a good 20 mins walk from the city, though it is fairly easy to get to. All in all very enjoyable.

Room Tip: All the rooms are of a good quality.

Luke warm shower, broken door light, corridors spookily dark. Bed had dust from the ceiling on it. Pool closed!
They tried to close the bar at 11.15pm until I made a fuss. Young inexperienced staff.
We were the first in a new room but I didn't want to sort their teething problems. It's way out of town. On the up side it's a beautiful restoration and the room was nice if dark. Don't drink the coffee from the machine in your room- vile and no fresh milk. When I complained no discount or voucher offered. I should have spoken to the manager but by that time I wanted to leave.

We purchased our stay on Secret Escapes. Stayed with another couple. On arrival we were advised it was the first day of opening to the public and were rewarded with a bottle of champagne, nice touch. They took photos of us outside the hotel entrance with the staff.... but haven't seen these to date on facebook or twitter as promised. Bedroom and Bathroom were huge with all facilities. Room was situated on 4th floor. Dined in the Stanley Restaurant and was indeed pleasantly surprised, with breakfast as equally delicious. We travel regularly all over the world and have stayed in lots of high rated 5 star hotels, have to say this is an extremely good 4 star rated hotel!!! We were treated the next day to a viewing of the magnificent Titanic staircase and also the Spa in working progress. Have to say the setting for the Spa looks amazing and cant wait to visit. Staff very very nice and had a very pleasant expected stay. Well done guys!

Fabulous new hotel, friendly staff, huge rooms, good food. My partner was speechless when she walked into the room, so I will certainly bring her back. Has to be experienced to be believed.

This hotel is brand new and as such there will always be teething problems. I hope to stay again and find that the things I wasn't overly keen on have been ironed out as this has the potential to be truly amazing.

Check in was slow and a little chaotic as the staff seemed unsure of what to do. We were shown to our room which was a double and we had requested a twin. We were advised the beds come apart and this would be done when we were out. However on returning back hours later this still hadn't been done and the poor lady working the evening shift had to come and sort the beds out whilst myself and my friend were in the room!!!

The rooms are absolutely incredible. So spacious and grand. The view over the docklands is fantastic!

I was disappointed with the rum bar. Service was slow and as a cocktail lover I was really underwhelmed by what we were served. Breakfast was also a disappointment the order was wrong and it took while to rectify. As mentioned in previous reviews the restaurant has almost a canteen style atmosphere.

We got an amazing deal on this hotel and for the money we paid it was fantastic value. However having spoken to the staff they want this to be a 5* establishment and the place to be in Liverpool and at the moment it isn't. If we had paid full room price I would have been disappointed.

For information no taxi drivers knew where the hotel was so have the postcode to hand. It's about ten minutes for Liverpool city centre

Usually staying in the Hilton at Liverpool ONE, hearing about this new hotel was just what we wanted, luxury, non-chain hotel. Reading all the reviews, press articles, we booked a superior dockside room for £126, including breakfast, which included the opening week discount.

Upon arrival the building is very impressive, a little out of the center, £5 in a taxi to Liverpool ONE, but not a problem. The welcoming doormen took our luggage from us and we proceeded to check in.

We asked if there were any upgrades available, they only had a corner room with view of the Mersey for an extra £20 or a suite for an extra £400!!!!!!! The suite was only £300 and something online!! Slightly dumbfounded, we just paid the extra £20. Check in was slow with inexperienced staff, which was not a problem as we expected it. Teething problems and all...

Next niggle, reception told us someone would bring our luggage, but there was no one to do it so we had to take our luggage back off the bellman cart and just take it ourselves, not a problem, just don't offer the service. Again teething problems...

The hotel itself is very big and has a great design. The corridors to the rooms are very wide giving a quality feel whilst walking to your room. The room its self is probably the biggest hotel room I have stayed in (major bonus points,) with great views of the docks and the Mersey. Great decor and comfy bed, good air-con, good iron (essential) and hair dryer. Few things here, bits of paint missing on the ceilings, bathroom hatch been cut out around the bath, shower fixing not straight, minor things that just took away from the overall luxury feel.

First problem, no mini bar.
Second problem, adjoining room which we was not informed about and could hear the guests in the next room. If we would of known, we would of chose a different room.

Main problem, when arriving back at the hotel around 1am, we asked reception if the bar was open for a soft drink, her reply 'no,' we asked if there was room service, her reply 'no,' we asked could we not even get water, her reply 'no.' Yet the welcome sheet said there is 24 hour room service, even if you 'just want a warm drink drink fetching to your room.' Not having food in the late hours if fine, but no drinks!? Reception later told us room service isn't up and running yet.

The breakfast tasted lovely, however for £12 and £3 for 2 slices of toast (non B&B rate) I would not be impressed, 1 sausage, 1 rasher of bacon, 1 egg, 1 mushroom, 1 tomato, a little steep, no?

Other things that showed the inexperience of the staff, we wasnt told check out times (we found out it is 11am which is a little early we thought as breakfast finishes at 11 also,) when we rang to see what time breakfast ended, they didnt know and had to ask, we asked for no black pudding at breakfast, it came with black pudding, just the little things that detract from a luxury, high end stay.

Overall, would I stay here again? Yes, but not for a good while so the staff can find there feet and definitely not at the full price at £250+. Massive potential for this hotel, just not yet at its best...
