Stayed here for a Saturday night in the master suite. The room was fabulous, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was equally clean and spacious, although it needed a little maintenance. The only other thing was the tap to fill the kettle was a little too low to fill. Apart from that absolutely no complaints and I would recommend it to anyone.

Spent one Sunday night at 62 Castle Street to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Pleasant welcome and check in, great room with huge double bed, large tv that swivelled from two leather armchairs or the bed. Nice little balcony out onto main street. Plenty of plus to charge phones etc, shame none by the bed!! Seems to be standard error in most hotels this!
As stated I other reports you are unable o ill a kettle or glass in the sink as tap about 1 inch from the plug hole!! Also the shower screen swilled around at random spraying the floor with water. Clearly the seal had gone and I reported it to reception on checking out.
No food on Sunday evening as restaurant was closed. Not a problem as we had good pub grub instead.
Late breakfast was full English, not bad of good quality. Not so sure about leaving bread out to go stale, ok for toast. Breakfast not worth £10 though. Service good but we were tge only couple etin at 0930 on a Monday morning.
Hotel 5 mis walk from Albert Dock and is very handy for most central locations.
Would I stay again, yes, but only if reduced rate.

Room Tip: Room 205 over looking main street, huge room.

After looking at the hotel website and reading the trip advisor reviews, we had high expectations when we arrived at the hotel. Unfortunately the reality fell a little short
for several reasons. We spent two nights in room 205 which had a pleasant view over the square however we were very aware of the lack of sound proofing
between the rooms as we could clearly hear creaking floorboards and music from the room next door. We were fortunate that our neighbours
were not up late otherwise the noise issue would have been a problem
The shower room was modern and functional despite the fact that there was a major design fault. The tap was positioned so low in the sink that
it was a struggle to fit your hands under it and forget trying to fill the kettle with water as that was just an impossible feat
The breakfast room was a dull and rather depressing place and the cooked breakfast was awful. On the saturday morning we ordered a
full english which was cold when it arrived and on the sunday it was a buffet selection and once again the "hot" food was in fact cold
On the positive side, the location of the hotel is excellent, close to the shops, docks and museums and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful

Chose this hotel because we wanted to be right in the centre of Liverpool and this is about as central as you can get. Perfect spot for access to Liverpool One Shops and to the cultural centre with Mathew Street and The Cavern Club a short walk away. It is also a ten minute walk to the very impressive Albert Dock. The hotel styles itself as a "Boutique" which I always thought was a euphamism for very expensive but 62 Castle Street is reasonably priced with good sized rooms and very comfortable beds. The hotel is quirky with rather gloomy decor and a no frills approch to service however the welcome was warm and genuine.

Booked for a nights stay after a night out. Clean, stylishly decorated and friendly flexible staff. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay. If I was being very picky, there were a couple of handy man type jobs that needed doing in the room (small hole by one of the lights in the bathroom ceiling and the bath edges required re-sealing). Great location and worth paying a little bit extra to stay.

We received a very friendly welcome at 62 Castle Street and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A huge suite with all the necessities. The biggest plus, however, was the excellent location - a five minute walk from Liverpool One shopping centre, Mathew Street (Cavern Club), the Albert Dock and all the museums (inc Tate Liverpool). It was good value for money so we'd definitely recommend it. The only downside was the shower wasn't boiling hot when we stayed.

Room Tip: I think you can ask if you'd prefer a free-standing bath or a monsoon shower and might be worth...
