What a lovely hotel! My boyfriend and I wanted a chilled, weekend away with lots of good food, drink etc. The hotel is in the heart of it all! We loved a nosey outside, some noise (duh we are in the centre of Liverpool) so couldn't understand complaints in previous posts... 2 mins walk to ALL of the shops, Liverpool 1, Matthews St and Albert Docks. We couldn't have asked for a better location, a tesco express over the road and a lovely place for breakfast and sandwiches to go! Rooms are very trendy, comfortable and modern, we loved the seating area with TV, the large bathroom and even larger bed!!! Only 1 or 2 issues, rooms are dark, which most definitely goes with the theme, but for a girl who takes a long time to do hair and makeup in a dark room is very hard work! Also, we love a coffee so once we had had one the coffee, milk and sugar had all gone and hadn't been replenished. We weren't sure of checkout time so after a night out (home at 12ish) we waited to speak to the receptionist to ask, a notice saying 'receptionist busy with customer......' We waited for a long time, nipped down from our room a few times, no sign! So google helped us out haha! All in all VERY LITTLE picky blips! Which most definitely haven't phased our next visit! When we did meet the receptionist in the morning she was lovely, holding our bags for the day, we went next door to the hotels restaurant/bar... Lovely!!! Very trendy, just like the hotel, lovely staff, ambience etc. So to conclude, I would definitely recommend the hotel, as a couple wanting to stay in a luxury, comfortable room in the heart of it all, Castle St is for you!

Very nice hotel room, and the staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Something to consider if coming by car with heavy luggage is that parking is in an expensive paid car park about 5-10 minutes walk away - there's a discount voucher from the hotel. Also wifi doesnt work on the upper floors.
Difficult to give an overall rating, because the breakfast in the restaurant was a thoroughly lousy experience (for £10 extra on the hotel bill). I opted for the granola/yoghurt/fruit option - a small bowl of granola, about 2 tablespoons of yoghurt, 4 slices of tinned peach and 2 strawberries cut into eighths to make it look more. The final straw was finding that a second cup of coffee was going to cost extra (yes, it did say that on the T&C but never having met such a mean-minded idea, it never occurred to us read them and see that 'breakfast includes 1 cup of coffee') Then there was a complete cock-up in cancelling the second day's breakfasts. In such a central location there are lots of good nearby alternatives for an enjoyable meal - use them instead.

62 Castle st is located right in the heart of Liverpool city centre making it accessible to all the sites and attractions the city has to offer, a stones throw away from the Albert Dock and a few minutes walk away from the shopping.
The hotel is stylishly decorated with a very warm and welcoming reception. The room we stayed in was more than spacious and as a travelling couple we really reveled in the amount of space our room provided, The room had everything we needed, including a ipod dock which was a nice touch and the room was clean and tidy.
Very polite and helpful staff at the front desk also made the stay more pleasant, wish we could have stayed longer.
We will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family, we look forward to staying in the future.

The rooms were lovely and had everything you needed like tv, ipod docking station etc (but no fridge to keep water or drinks cold). The staff were friendly and the hotle was bigger than I expected and in the middle of everything like restaurants, bars etc.

as soon as you walk through the doors you immediatly see the quality of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and make you feel very welcome and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay went without a hitch. Perfect location for all attractions and not far for me to carry all the bags from the dozens of shops visited with my lovely wife.
Room 101 was perfect. the only slight flaw was the shower height. Had to duck to get my head under, but this in no way detracted from the superb quality of the room. Breakfast was very good and set both of us up for the busy days ahead.
without doubt one of the best quality hotels we have had the pleasure to stay in. Our first time in Liverpool and will certainly be returning in the future and will definitly use this hotel again. reccommend to all.

Very good spacious room with a/c, wanted a French restaurant and the evening manager "walked" us to it, rather than just giving us directions, couldn't ask for better service than that. Have already been advising friends that if they go Liverpool they should stay here, especially as it is centrally located for sights, shops, restaurants, and night life.

This hotel is by far the best I have ever stayed in, I has the grand suite and I was not disappointed the prices was well worth the room massive bed beautiful decor staff was very helpful and friendly and the resturant next door was to die for I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone reading this, if your after a night life weekend then this location is not the best for youngsters but other than that there is no fault what so ever so I suggest anyone traveling to Liverpool to stop in this hotel you won't be disappointed

Room Tip: If u don't know what room to go for go for the grand suite you won't look back
