Stayed for two night the room was enormous !! Very relaxing and well presented , went up to the bar/restaurant on the 7th floor blew me away the most amazing views. What makes it more amazing was,I was told, the building was stood empty for 30 years and has been refurbished over six months! Totally recommend it great hotel and location.

Room Tip: They are all superb but the first floor is very black!! I have only saw my room on the 5 th floor an...

We stayed here for one night and had a lovely suite with a balcony which had great views of the waterfront. The room was very nice however the wet-room was a nightmare. When you shower the water floods the bathroom and seeps onto the bedroom carpet. I had to use all our towels to mop it up. There was no mirror in the bathroom so not good for the gents who want to wet shave. There were no drinking glasses provided either. On a more positive note the staff were very pleasant and helpful. There is building work going on but this did not spoil our stay at all. Everyone we encountered was courteous. The view from the rooftop bar was brilliant we did not eat in the hotel which I am glad about. When we were paying our bar bill in the rooftop restaurant there was a Faulty Towers kind of episode going on with the chefs and waiters taking meals from a mobile heated cabinet and putting sauces on them using the small bar tables to work from. then Handing them on to a waiter with instructions on how long to put in the microwave. It was quite funny actually. I am sure when all the little details have been attended to this will be a wonderful hotel and I for one will definitely go back sometime in the future. I would recommend it and thanks to all the lovely staff.

Room Tip: We didn't have a waterfront facing room however ours was on the side with a balcony which gave g...

I visited 30 James Street for the first time this month with my sister-in-law and will definitely be going back. We were immediately given a warm welcome from manager Paul Egan who showed us around the beautiful wedding reception room, complete with a Victorian sleigh, which overlooks the Three Graces.
Following this, we visited the Carpathia Champagne Bar which has a fabulous rooftop terrace- the views from here of the Liverpool waterfront are fabulous. We enjoyed their mixed platter and a couple of glasses of wine. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
The building itself is fabulous....the home of The Titanic...so much history. I'm so pleased that so much love and care is going back into it.

We stayed at this hotel from 23rd-25th July, the reception staff were lovely, the room very nice, although we were a little disapointed as when we booked we were told that it was not possible to book a specific room and this was inaccurate information and so we missed out on having a room with a balcony.
We had also booked a table on the bar terrace for Friday 25th and when we arrived there was no table availalable for us and 45 minutes after arriving we still had not been brought the drinks which we had ordered! Eventually we received our bottle of wine and as an apology it was complementary but still after an hour and a half no effort was made to give us the table which we had booked and so we left the bar disapointed. This is a new hotel and hopefully things with regard to service will improve with time. The quality of the rooms and reception and bar area are excellent,it was just unfortunate that our overall experience was not 5 star as we are sure it could be! Hopefully next time!

Room Tip: Suites do not have a fridge Some rooms have a balcony The best view is of the strand

We have just returned from a night at this hotel. It was a first class experience from start to finish. We were welcomed upon arrival by a friendly team and checked in. The corridors are decorated beautifully, and the room was great. We had a view of the waterfront and a fab spa bath to complement the luxurious decor and sumptuous carpet. There are a couple of things that could improve the room, such as a shelf in the bathroom, and hooks to hang towels/robes but this is a minor point considering the whole experience.
We also were lucky enough to have warm weather, which allowed us to have a drink on the rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the waterfront
We booked online and got an excellent deal that would challenge a budget hotel on price, however, I feel the price may increase as this hotel gets more popular-which it surely will!

Tip - if arriving by train, james street station is only 5 minutes from liverpool lime street and is next door to this hotel!

Room Tip: All rooms we saw/nosed in as housekeeping were servicing looked excellent!

Stayed for one night in a junior suite and the hotel & room was amazing. The theme and decor was gorgeous and the staff were really friendly and helpful. There was a 15 min delay on our room when we arrived so we were given complimentary drinks in the champagne bar which was also stunning, which we were very happy with. Overall I would recommend this to anyone we had a fantastic time!

Visiting Liverpool for 1st time for a 50th birthday we were unaware of the Giants Parade when selecting the date. The only hotel we could get in was James Street but WOW what a hotel. We will definitely visit again and stay at St James Street. A bottle of prosecco and a card was in the room for the birthday boy which was a lovely thought. The rooms were amazing and one had a balcony straight onto the main road where the giant puppets were. We had best view in the house!! Staff were very friendly and helpful and even United Utilities switching water off for a short while was not too inconvenient. Location for docks, shopping, bars, restaurant and trains was excellent. Wouldn't look anywhere else now when staying in Liverpool. Very happy customer.

Room Tip: Balcony has a great view out towards the docks
