Stayed at the Print Hotel on Saturday 15th September
The hotel has recently opened on Stanley Street in the city centre. It is right next to the Met Quarter shopping complex and round the corner from Mathew Street. And there in lies the one problem with the hotel, because it is right in the middle of some Liverpool's busiest nightlife there is a potential for a noise problem and the rooms are not equipped to deal with it. The room we stayed in was at the back of the hotel and overlooked a disco and the glazing in the room did nothing to deaden the noise. There are rooms at the front which I suspect may be a little quieter and I hope so because I am going back on the 29th.
I think this hotel has the potential to be a little gem right in the city centre. The staff are friendly and efficient. They ensured our room was ready for an 11am check in as we were going to the races in Chester. The rooms are great with massive bathrooms and plasma TV and DVD player. There is a private members club and night club within the building. Our bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, even if it was a little too high off the floor.
The only negative is the intrusion from the noise. If they could deal with that then they would have the perfect city centre hotel.
