Arrived at 7pm with 3 children under 6. staff welcomed us and gave us space where we felt very comfortable. Adult meal excellent and the kids meals were 'real' food. Bangers and mash- lots of it with very good looking proper sausages and stir fried noodles with chicken was served looking good enough for adult meals- no skimping or dumbing down for children- just good cooking with good ingredients. Staff were lovely and the Chef excellent. Eating out with small children should always be like this but rarely is! Well done Blue.

Needed some gluten and dairy free options. ..menu very limited and not fully upto date.

That said staff tried to help and up came venison. Unfortunately chewy but tasty.

My corn fed chicken very tasty.

Overall ok but not in a rush to return

Although this was not the most welcoming of entrances, we were pleasantly surprised with the attentiveness of the service and the quality of the food. Orders were taken promptly and the food arrived without delay. It was a bit more expensive than we would normally pay for this kind of food, but I guess the location bumps up the prices. £45 got us three drinks, two mains, one side salad and one pud. Most important - we got a table when the other places we tried were all full - on a Sunday tea-time before an Arena concert.

Went for sunday lunch with the family and friends down from newcastle.normally love the place hence why recommended we went there with visitors.

Service = great,so polite and friendly

Food = starters were lovely chilli chicken great. We booked the 3 course sunday dinner for 7 and everyone was happy with theres. Main courses of sunday roast arrived at a delay, 4/7 sent it back as cold, 2 attempted to eat their chicken failing miserably as their knives weren't sharp enough to carve the blackened chicken breast . Next try as bad so the manager came over apologised and offered us anything we wanted. I had a pork ciabatta which was gorge so couldnt complain on that.

Overall = birthday so slightly disappointed but knowing what the food is like normally i would go back , putting it down to food today i was initially disappointed but replacements were good and andy the manager is a complete gent and the staff are lovely. Try it!

Loved my visit here and the staff were good fun and enjoyed a bit of banter with their customers which was fun, was busy when we visited and the terrace was chocca with people grabbing a seat in the afternoon sunshine. Will defo visit again when I'm back in the city
