A very modern, elegant hotel that infuses the Beatles theme into the decor in an understated manner. You do not have to be a Beatles fan to enjoy this trendy hotel. The room was tastefully decorated and spacious. We enjoyed the ample breakfast in the restaurant. Our package included the Cavern Club & the Magical Mystery Tour. It was a highlight of our trip to Liverpool. Wished we could have stayed "Another Day."

Hubby booked a 3 night stay at the hotel as a surprise for our 20th wedding anniversary as I'm THE biggest Beatles fan and he couldn't have chosen a better break for us. The hotel is luxurious. Our room was huge and spectacularly comfortable.......cant think of 1 fault with it. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful and was blown away by the personal touch of a congratulations card on our anniversary. Stuart the night doorman went out of his way to help us and shared great stories and history about the building that the hotel now occupies. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Adorned with Beatles artwork everywhere and right on the corner of Matthew Street so only a stagger away from a late night at the Cavern Club. Love Liddypool and will defo be back, Thank you.

Room Tip: Reading trip advisor reviews I see people complaining about noise if you are in a room at the front...

We were in Liverpool to immerse ourselves in Beatlemania. Regardless of the mixed reviews, we opted to stay here and glad we did! Yes, faint odor from a prior fire lingers in the lobby area. However our room had no such odor. Our stay was in August (our 30th Wedding Anniversary trip). The front desk staff were terrific as was Jimmy who took care of us during breakfast (kept our coffee cups filled). You have to use your hotel key card to get into the hallway to go to your room. They believe in security. Nice touch! We were on the 3rd floor & our room was quiet. Ladies don't expect to shave in the shower as it is rather small. Beyond that we were very pleased with our stay, room and service. Great location. We opted for the private Beatle taxi tour and Paul was our driver- Fantastic. This was one of the highlights of our trip to England. He not only took us to the important sights in Liverpool involving the Beatles, stopped at areas, took our photo and provided quite a history lesson on the Beatles as well as everything in Liverpool. The hotel arranged it for us. Great perk and totally loved it!

Couldn't fault one thing! All of the staff were great...Becky on Reception was so helpful before we even arrived. Wish I had names of all the other staff! We chose to use the valet parking as we'd had a 6 hour drive and a Beatles tour taxi booked and it was due to arrive 20 minutes after we did! The man that took our car was very friendly, he also let us leave our bags there the next morning so we could have a wander around the City. We then returned to the hotel, collected our bags and the car was brought round to us...brilliant! The hotel itself is stunning, regardless if you are a Beatles fan or not. It's so grand, yet really modern and the friendly staff make it seem more intimate. We only stayed one night but had a good look around the hotel, even cheekily asked if we could take a look at the suites but they were being refurbished...although if they hadn't been then I don't think it would've been a problem. I stayed with my husband & my cousin & her partner, they were visiting from Australia and as we're all Beatles fans I booked it as a surprise. They were very impressed too. Our rooms were lovely, very clean and had all that we needed. Aircon was great! The art was so nice, plus the little extras like the book in the room so you could read all about the Beatles & Liverpool. The hotel is right next to The Cavern area and we had a room that was very close to it so could hear the live music until the early hours...but we actually quite liked that! Obviously the other side of the hotel would be quieter. Breakfast was lovely, and the man that served us (glasses, bald./shaved head) was great too. So helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Overall we all had a lovely time and will definitely stay again on our next visit to the City. Thanks!

Room Tip: If you don't want to hear live bands then ask for a room away from the Cavern Club

We decided to go for a city break and where better than lovely Liverpool. Such a beautiful city, with a fantastic place to walk around, enjoy the culture and of course the history. We went to this hotel, deciding to stay in near the city center, to enjoy the beatles experience and go to the Cavern club around the corner. We had a great stay.

My sons wedding took place at the HDN Hotel on Saturday 24th August and to describe it as perfect is an understatement. From the time we booked the event which was February this year we have received excellent planning and advisory service from the Events team. We arrived for our stay on the Thurs 22nd with a huge amount of luggage all of which was taken care of with minimal fuss. Most of the 60 guests on the day also stayed at the hotel and all received exceptional service and were blown away with the wedding. The day was faultless from the dressing of the function room, the decoration of the wedding cheese cake and the food was absolutely superb! Everyone involved worked tirelessly to make our day a day to remember. Well done HDNH Events Team (especially Marian Cotter and Charlene Havern ) the Restaurant Team and the Reception Team!!
What stars you all are!!! Can't wait to return to your stunning hotel and fabulous City!

Room Tip: As a City of course it's busy with lots of nightlife so ask for a quiet room.

We arrived a little early for check in. It was mid week and the hotel seemed fairly quiet. We approached the Receptionist to ask if there was any possibility to check in a little earlier as my daughter was to undergo a procedure at the local hospital and we had been travelling since 4am that morning. We were promptly told "no. Check in is at 2". We asked if the hotel was full and the receptionist told us it was not. She said that 2pm was the check on time and that these were the rules. She was clearly not willing to budge on this attitude and we therefore went away with our luggage and sat in the nearby shopping centre for 2 hours. Whilst we appreciate that the hotel had to stick to its procedures we felt that we were dismissed with no thought whatsoever -an offer to store our luggage would have been helpful but told that our rooms were already allocated and would not be ready until exactly 2 pm seemed to be inflexible. Since going back to Liverpool we have found a similarly priced hotel with a much more approachable staff and have been told that whenever we come back they would always do their best to try and book us in a little earlier. Maybe the Hard Days Night hotel really do not need return custom and we certainly will be amongst those people who have stated on forums that the Reception staff really do let this hotel down.
