“Impossible to book”
Reviewed 10 April 2014 via mobile

I am frustrated with trying to book to stay in this hotel. When you phone you just get answer phone it is impossible to speak to anyone and nobody bothers to phone back. Not very good impression. We gave up and went elsewhere.

The hotel was very centrally located, great décor, excellent entertainment in the lounge area in the evening with a great atmosphere. Good sized room and bathroom. I agree with another review that states double-glazing would aid a more restful night's sleep as people were partying all night and clearing up the streets made for quite a noisy couple of nights. The breakfast was a good standard although having paid premium price for our rooms during the Grand National I think the breakfast should have been included. The staff were very helpful and the valet parking was a bonus (note parking is expensive).

Massively over priced, extremely disappointed.
Attended a wedding here that cost a lot of money.
No where near enough staff for adequate customer service, scruffy, not attentive and inexperienced.
White wine arrived warm and we had to ask 3 times to get coffee with our breakfast, manager was clearly not interested. Food is way off the mark for a hotel of this price.
Needs some serious strong management changes.
Hotel clean but needs work.

Liverpool is a wonderful city and the Hard Days Night Hotel is the icing on the cake. Loving all things Beatles, I've been a regular visitor to the hotel's Blake's restaurant for the last couple of years. The food is fresh and tasty and excellent value at £14.95 for a three-course set menu. The staff are polite and friendly too, while the hotel's decor is subtle with Beatle paintings and photographs. I travel to Liverpool fairly regularly and have to stay over. I have stayed at many of the city centre hotels but none better than the Hard days night. The staff go that extra mile and really make it worth the trip. I will not stay anywhere else in Liverpool now.

Room Tip: Any room at all

I really wanted to like this place, but it fell short in some ways. Others it was very good. When we were there (July 2013), they were still having a/c problems after having had a fire some months before. We had electrical and a/c problems in our room. The Beatles-themed (as is nearly everything in Liverpool) decor is wonderful. Breakfast was really good, service up to scratch. Good to do once, wouldn't go back.
