“Loved it- classy not tacky”
Reviewed 7 October 2009

We stayed in a superior room a bit more expensive.
They offered vallet parking which was useful as on a busy street.
Staff were local Liverpudlians which is a change from foreign workers and this made it much better.
The decor was classy not tacky or cheesy.
The lift was so elegant in this old building very well done. The stairs were wonderful with huge pictures of the fab 4 all the way down. Most people took the lift to the top and walked down to see them.
The room was tastefuuly furnished with 60's style furniture and we had a picture John lennon over the bed . the bed was very comfortable. there was free internet on the huge screen TV. The bathroom was gorgoeus- a walk in shower and a separate bath .
Breakfast was the usual more than adequate. We did not try the restaurant but out friends did and said they thought it was OK. the bar attached were the public could go was very busy and a bit pricey no seats so we sat in the foyer just as good. If you want to know where the Lennon and McCartney suites arelook at the fire escape plan on the doors. the 2 big rooms are the suites! on the top 2 floors as they will not tell you so as to be discreet. We did not find it noisy as some reviewershave and would defintely stay again- saving up for one of the suites.

Very comfortable, stylish and beautifully themed hotel with great food and extremely efficient and friendly staff. Only bad point was that we only stayed two nights. Looking forward to returning for a longer period. Took the Fab Four Taxi Tour which I thoroughly recommend.

My first impression of this hotel was very good. It was very centrally located very close to shopping and the cavern club. The room are very well decorated, athough it is a shame they didn't put in power showers. We ate in the Restaurant on the first night - it is quite expensive but the food is good. Breakfast on the other hand was a really disorganised affair. I honestly don't know why they can't provide each table with a pot of tea and coffee as I felt we spent our time trying to get their attention for refills ! On the 2nd morning, we had to ask for 5 different things - milk, sugar, scrambled egg, museli and tea [twice]. We decided to have room service on the last morning to save us the hassle. We were slightly delayed checking out and we were promptly phoned at 11.10 to remind us to check out ! I thought a little more lee-way could have been given. When we checked out we were not asked about our stay and if there were any problems so all in all I would say the decor is great and if you're a Beatles fan, you will love it but we found the service to be very poor

I broght my 13 year old Son to stay for a few nights. We are both big Beatles fans and had heard that this was a special place to stay. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome right from he front entrance and all the way through our stay. My Son received a birtday card and gift just after we settled in our room and all the staff were more than willing to help with any questions we had about the Hotel. This truly is a very special place and the attention to detail is 5 Star. The hotel is spotless and maintained to the highest standard.
Situated right in the heart of Liverpool it is close to all the main features. We took the "Magical mystery tour" and what great value for money.
I cannot say enough good about this Hotel and the staff and Management who keep it as perfect as they do.
Whether you are a Beatles fan or not, this Hotel is a must. Modern, very modern and is in a perfect location.
Many thanks to all and we will deffinitely be back.

We have just returned from a week end in Liverpool, staying at A Hard Days Night Hotel. Before booking I looked at all the local hotels but as my partner is a huge Beatles fan decided this would be the best choice. I was a bit worried the hotel would be tacky. How wrong I was. I can honestly say this hotel made our week end, it is truly impressive. The Beatles theme throughout is stylishly presented with wonderful artwork, pictures and memorabilia. The lobby and bar area are a delight, and I would particularly recommend a visit to the lobby bar on Fri and Sat evenings where you can enjoy live accoustic sessions with excellent musicians. We had such a wonderful time enjoying the music with the other guests, the atmosphere was wonderful. The Imagine Tribute on Saturday was fantatsic!
The location of the hotel cannot be beaten, right in the heart of the Cavern Quarter..where else would you want to stay? We had no problem with noise from the Cavern Club and, infact, enjoyed a wonderful few hours in there on Fri afternoon, again with live accoustic music, and on Sta night with the resident band.
We are, of course, big fans of The Beatles and this was the main reason we wanted to visit Liverpool, so staying at this hotel ensured our experience continued all week-end. This hotel is, in my opinion, an absolute must..especially if you a Beatles fan, you'd be mad not to stay here!

Booked a table for 2.30pm and arrived with family - who had travelled more than 200 miles - only to be told, wait for it...... the chef had gone home!

Member of staff on reception seemed clueless to offer any suggestions about how we could eat, eventually led to the restaurant to be told, very few starters were available.

Opted instead for Fish & Chips X 3 (surely that can't be that difficult) but food was well below standard - guess as the Chef had "knocked-off" for the day shouldn't have expected anything better.

Our table wasn't cleared and staff seemed to "forget" about us. Had to actually leave the table to ask for desert menu ourselves.

Was told on the day the manager was not available, did write to him but just received a standard letter offering very little explinations

I have no idea what the hotel is like, it certainly looks the part, however my advice to anyone staying there would be not eat at Blakes, and choose one of the many other fine restaurants Liverpool has to offer. Wish we had done!

I was reluctant to stay here, expecting over-priced mediocrity. How wrong I was! The location couldn't be better: 2 steps from Matthew St and 5 minutes from the Dock. The room and all its facilities were excellent. Quite remarkably quiet, especially considering the central location. Even the air-conditioning was no more than a purr. Bed and bedding so comfortable I would gladly have taken them home. Curtains that shut out the light (yes, really!). Free, fast, wi-fi. Tailored music through the tv. Pleasant, helpful staff. Excellent! Just don't bother with the hotel restaurant, which really is priced above its quality.
