My review is pretty much the same as others; great location, great price, minibar very cheap, noise til about 4am-but what do you expect with City centre hotel?! However the most stand-out thing about this hotel is the staff. We stayed there for two nights and every single person on the reception desk was amazing. They really couldn't do enough for us, gave us directions, recommendations for food/drink. Also, our flight wasn't until late on the Monday evening so they not only let us leave our luggage, but let us check out late as it was midweek and room wasn't going to be used. Also the bathroom was amazing-two sinks, huge mirror (great for two girls getting ready!), and power shower. The lift/elevator is one of those big ones you have to pull the doors closed-often seen on the continent, so that was a little tricky to get used to (especially after a few drinks), but taking the stairs was a bit of a maze. Overall a great place to stay and would recommend anyone to stay here that wants a central location. Just a note on Liverpool, beware of the cobbles!! Especially girls wearing heels, we were like baby giraffes walking up the road at night!!

We stayed here on a Saturday night the rooms are fine clean good size nothing to complain about. Mini bar very good prices. Staff very nice we were upgraded on arrival. The area is very convenient for city centre location.
I knew the reviews said noise was a issue but it really is very noises till 4am but I did know this before I booked this hotel. If your a light sleeper this hotel isn't for you but if your going to be out in the bars or you don't mind noise this is a great place to stay.

We used the Parr St Hotel as a base for a night-out in Liverpool. The hotel is certainly different, built in the skeleton of what I assume was an old warehouse, it's been stylishly decorated in a very shabby, very chic way which makes it very different from any other hotel we've stayed in.

The rooms are quite basic, but well presented, with a good tea/coffee service and a priced, stocked minibar (very well priced, to be honest, a standard bottle of wine coming in at £12 which is pretty reasonable for in-room rates).

The bathroom was functional, although a little small, but clean and modern.

Having read the reviews of this place before visiting we were aware of the noise issues from the two adjoining bars/clubs, so I'm not going to rate the place down for this - but be warned it is noisy until early morning (3am) and later with street traffic (in our case a couple of blokes kicking-off in the street outside), but that's almost to be expected in the middle of an area that's surrounded by nightclubs.

We were told that the Attic-2 was a Jazz bar, visiting at 1am I'd argue it's simply another night-club, and not a particularly good one. A step into the other Attic proved that was more of the same; Maybe #2 was jazzier earlier in the evening? Maybe we're just getting too old for this.

Others have complained about the place being too warm - certainly the reception is sweltering, but the rooms (and the floor around the rooms) is perfect (and I'm normally too hot anywhere), so no complaints there.

Location is superb, price is good for a major city, the place is very unusual in itself, but a break away from the generic hotels. If you can tolerate noise into the early morning then it's highly recommended. Maybe better for the younger generation (or the older generation if they can take their hearing aid out :)

Very different than the classic 4* hotel you might be used to.Big,beautiful and very clean room with very cheap minibar. There are two bar/clubs in this hotel one on the top floor with good selection of cocktails and really cool atmosphere and one on the ground floor more like a club and this is the one you might be able to hear it from your room till 2-3am if you are a really light sleeper. The area around the hotel doesn't say much on your first impression, but once the night is down it's a different story.
I would recommend this to anyone going to Liverpool for a bit of a party and doesn't want to stay in a boring place and I will definitely go back.

The Parr is centrally located only if you want to go to a neighborhood full of loud, drunken bars that stay open all night with pulsating music. We were kept up with the noise and the vibration until 4 a.m. (That's a lot different from being in a recording studio building, as billed. None of this was studio activity.) Earplugs wouldn't have helped -- the vibration was so intense that the room shook almost nonstop. The elevator at the Parr had been out for weeks, according to an employee, but there was no notification of that from our booking service, which said it hadn't been informed. That meant three flights of very steep and narrow stairs each time we went out. After dark, you don't want to be walking around in this risky area, and it's pretty far to City Centre anyway, so budget some money for cabs. No restaurants around. There's one person on the front desk each shift, and the morning person had just come in, said she had no computer or printer access to provide a receipt, but did note from a slip of paper what my credit card had been charged, which was way over the quoted figure. The most fun, though, came exiting the hotel, when we encountered drunks passed out right outside the door. Charming. This was me and my 23-year-old son, and we're hardly prudes, but the Parr was in a seedy, sleazy part of the city and gave off a spooky vibe. The rooms were sleek and reasonably clean -- a little smelly, not very comfortable beds way low to the ground, and the front door was broken, though. All in all, find somewhere else unless you need a place to crash for all night debauchery and can handle lots of stairs. Liverpool is a great city, lots to do, and we wish we had stayed in City Centre or near the train station. Live and learn.

Room Tip: If you really want to stay here, book on the lowest floor possible because they apparently never hav...

Great front of house, clean modern room. Right in the middle, so if you need to change clothes or have a quick shower, you can just pop back.

Surprisingly good hotel bar, had a pleasing ambience and excellent cocktails. Wish we'd found that out before we ventured into the square nearby.

What a great hotel - right in the centre of Liverpool and filled with not only rustic charm but also rooms with all mod cons - free wifi, digital tv and a power shower.

5-10 minute walk from Liverpool one and Albert dock and a great jumping off point for further exploration of Liverpool, the Wirral and beyond.

Staff are just fantastic and more than pleasant and we found the rooms to be huge and incredible value for money for the standard of the interior.

The hotel is located in a Bar and studio complex but we experienced no notice during our stay and in fact have never slept better! Will be returning on our next visit.
