Description: Sidi Maarouf is situated a stones throw away from Marble Arch. It is a beautifully designed Moroccan restaurant with a very authentic interior with billowing silk curtains and dark wood furniture. As you set foot into the restaurant you come under the illusion that you are entering a magnificent tent in the desert. Every evening while dining you will be entertained by our live band and a variety of belly dancers, which is the perfect complement to the delicious food. The menu has a vast selection of starters and main courses to choose from with a variety of mouth watering flavors, followed by the delicious baklawa which is ideal while sipping our famous Moroccan tea! Open 7 days a week from 12 noon to 12pm.

The meals are average and far from the taste in Morocco. Service was ok. Atmosphere, I guess ppl who love middle eastern culture and all about it, will enjoy it. It was not bad, but just did not meet my expectations.

Me and my wife wanted to eat in a Lebanese restaurant prior to our Valentine celebration on Thursday evening. So we went to this restaurant as i ate here few more times before with my friends. As usual, i had a good welcome and the owner (or lady manager) came to us to acknowledge; which was nice!

We had our starter Chicken lever & Grilled cheese which were really nice following our main courses which were presented beautifully and was equally delicious. The restaurant decor is superb with Arabian glitch which is also a positive side of this place. I will go there again.

I would recommend to all!

Reserved a table for two at sidi maarouf on a Saturday night. Didn't get greeted as we arrived and had to approach a waitor who was just standing around. When we said we had a reservation he just pointed to one end of the room and said 'sit wherever you want', charming. We then waited around 15 minutes during that time no one came to even acknowledge us, but did see the same waitor hanging around, doing anything but his job, so we got up and left. Can't comment on the food as didn't have any, but didn't look like we were going to get any at all.

Me and my girlfriend wanted to go for a Lebanese on a Sat night but on queues of 45 mins everywhere we stumbled across this place....first impressions were the decor was impeccable, just what you'd expect from a Moroccan place, nice Arabic style architecture. The service was good on arrival and the music (although loud) provided a lively atmosphere, this was Saturday night after all! We were given some vegetables and lovely dip for starters which was a nice touch. We ordered the sausages, fatoush and chicken for starters. The fatoush was delicious well worth a go and the portions were very generous! Before our mains of chicken tagine we were greeted with a belly dancer who provided some nice entertainment getting people up to join her. The tagine was served in its traditonal pot and was very nice, maybe lacking a bit of spice but with some chilli and saffron rice was good! We ended the night with a shisha outside. All in all a great find....will definately be returning here. Good music, good entertainment, good vibe and good food! My only complaint would be slightly slow service.
