Description: Nestled among the plants, ponds and peaceful promenades of St James's Park, Inn the Park is a small, perfectly formed hub of activity. The cafe/restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a contemporary, open space; with our two outdoor terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows providing picturesque views of the lush surroundings. Enjoy the tranquillity of morning with a healthy (or hearty!) breakfast from 8am. From midday lunch is served: choose from a menu of seasonal dishes made using only the finest British produce. For special occasions book afternoon tea or hire the us out for a private function. Settle 'Inn' for lazy coffees and homemade treats whilst watching the world, and the parks wildlife go by.

“Decent food, not so good service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 January 2011

We went to Inn the park for the lunch. The waitress sounded like we were the first people in the world to request a lunch; every arrangement seemed to be so complicated for her. We didn’t even dare to ask any extra questions as she felt so uneasy.

Food was ok, although my medium steak was way too raw to be medium.

As also others have said; this place could be really great with such a nice location and view, but in current state it was disappointment.

“We loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 September 2010

We happened to come upon Inn The Park during our late afternoon walk in St. James Park.. I have to say, the sea bass dinner I had is one of the best seafood dinners I have ever had. Just marvelous! My Daughter had a seafood pasta dinner, and she loved It. I have read the reviews criticizing it, but we loved it and highly recommend it. We found the prices reasonable, and the service was just fine.

“Very expensive and management were poor...”

Very expensive and management were poor and rude. Sat in the wrong area but no signs up doesn't give you the right to growl at myself and my children and be aggressive.
Food was not good - old, plain and dry. Boring

“Avoid this place.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 July 2010

This place situated in St James's Park is a honey trap for the visitor to London but it is totally overpriced for the moderate quality food and small portions served and then has the nerve to add twelve and a half percent to the bill. Go elsewhere, there are plenty of places in the area offering better value for money.

“Abysmal”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 April 2010

Beautiful sunny day. Thousands of people in the park..We thought we would have a cup of tea.In any normal cafe ,you queue for food and drinks, picking up what catches your eye. Then you pay.Not here. You pay(long queue) and then you queue again for what you want.On a lovely day it took 35mins to get cups of tea.Why do they bother cos they certainly do not want trade. If you want a cuppa or food use one of the stalls. Service is quick and good and the food better.
