Description: ASK Italian in Baker Street is a place for great food and warm service. Think fresh bread made to tear and share. A glass of fine wine worth deserving of your time. Delicious main dishes prepared the traditional way. Everything we know and love about Italian food is served straight to your table. Take a look at our Baker Street menu and, if you like what you see, book a table.

Visited by a group of 4 of us in town for a course, because we had a voucher they'd emailed one of us. The restaurant seemed quite busy, usually a good sign, but we were kept waiting without being acknowledged (we didn't realise they were clearing a table for us) and nearly walked out. The food was fairly standard Italian restaurant-type fare, and enjoyable enough, but the appetisers arrived well separated in time with no explanation, and when it came to our dessert, espresso coffees were brought instead of espresso ices despite one of us double checking that the waitress had the order right, and she then argued with us. This was the last straw; we had already felt that we were in their way by being there. Maybe we just caught them on a bad night and they were too busy, but it made for a poor atmosphere in the place and rather put us off. Don't think I'd visit again, a pity because it was reasonably good value.

We were kept waiting a very long time for our food. The order was mixed up and while the food was acceptable, we were left under no illusions that we were a nuisance for asking for the correct starter and sweet courses as we had ordered.
The service was incredibly slow and I'd recommend walking past this branch of Ask and going elsewhere.

I was invited there by a business associate using a two for one voucher. Notwithstanding this we were treated well, the food was very good and we indulged in an extra bottle of red wine.

On the way to a theatre we booked a table via a phone app. This avoided the "will we get a seat" worries when you are time limited. Needn't have worried though as there were only two other tables occupied in this large restaurant. This actually led to our main gripe. Once seated and in possession ofthe menu, we were then left alone for quite a time. No one came to take a drinks order for a good 10 minutes. In the end I called a waitress over and she took the full dinner order. However from that point on, everything was fine. Pay a little more attention to the guests early on please!

The food was good without being outstanding but with a particularly nice 'misto' of olives cheese bread and salami apetiser.

The decor was very good and the restaurant was clean and bright. All in all a pleasant enough experience

Me and my girlfriend are Italian and we decided to try this Ask after a very positive experience in another Ask in Bath.
We were not disappointed at all! The waiters were both Italian and they were extremely kind! They let us in without any booking and eventually, we even had a small chat with them.
The food then was very good, better than other chains like Strada in my opinion.
We had the panzerottini, Cannelloni and Ravioli Marittimi from the Specials menu. Everything was really delicious!
It's a pity that we stayed in London just for a couple of days, otherwise we would be back again! Well done Ask!
