“Good location but small portions - Lincoln's Inn location”

Went here for lunch with my partner and we both had the turkey caesar salad. I can honestly say that I have seen bigger starters! Food was tasty enough but very meagre for a price tag of £12.50.

“Convenient and friendly but overpriced and small portions”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

Ate at Benugo today. Great location and the waiter was very nice, but the sirloin and chips was a child sized portion for £20 and mussels uninteresting. Bill expensive for what it was.

“fishlicious!”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Booked this for myself and a friend for an early supper on Saturday night , chose it for the area and the fact that they had advertised their cocktails as being rather special. I had read some reviews saying that the service wasn't so good, but our waiter duly trotted off to get a cocktail menu from the bar and in a short while we were people watching over a Mitch martini and a Mai tai. We were in no real rush to order and fair enough we weren't hassled by the staff. The main thing to remember is that a lot of people come here for a pre theatre or pre film meal so there is quite a bit bustle at peak times. We both ordered the fish and it was delicious. I had the roast salmon on a veg puree with spring greens and crushed potatoes and would easily order it again. Dessert was a pistachio creme brulee for my friend and a chocolate fondant for me, again both very good. In all I'd say this was a good choice , it's not particularly cheap but for a great meal in a good area, with a chance to people watch you can't go wrong.

“Benugo wigmore st w1 expensive”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

There is more variety than Pret a Manger or Eat but this advantage is removed by the unpleasant prices. Slices of cake are cut so thin that they are crumbling on the stand with eat-in prices of £2.50 upwards - too thin to put in a bag anyway! Asparagus and Parmesan soup was pure salt and no asparagus. Salad rolls at £4.99 were ridiculously tiny. Tuna sandwich has tasty greens but the rest seemed to be school dinner mayonnaise with tuna colouring. The basement space was welcome but with horrible loud drumming music. I haven't been to any of the museum branches but with poor value and high prices like these it is very unfair on school parties and parents who are trapped.

“tasty!”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

Not the biggest portions - woosy London portions rather than northern gut-busters,Not bad for vegetarians - just 2 main options, but the one I had was unusual and very tasty. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable value. Buzzy atmosphere and staff were great.
