“Pre-theatre stop”
Reviewed 20 April 2014

Called in for a bowl of pasta before the theatre. Met by a smiling member of staff and samples of the red and white wine of the day. A nice touch. The waitress was delightful, we enjoyed our pasta, the coffee was excellent, as was both the service and the atmosphere. We will go again.

“always excellent”
Reviewed 19 April 2014

had great meal at this restaurant again .As a regular and lover of MOST London Carluccios .This has always been my favourite .The staff are friendly without being intrusive. The food is excellent and genuine Italian.Th Spaghetti vongole being a particular favourite and al dente as I requested.
The sardine starter was great and well priced wines.I also recommend the spaghetti carbonara done the Italian way ( no cream) and the ravioli with butter and sage .Thanks again to the staff for a great evening ,

“Not fine dinning, but well presented food”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

This chain has a well oiled and presented system throughout , and works well. the food generally is reasonably price as are the wines.

I would recommend the Montepulciano consistently good.

It is a place where a man or woman on there own can comfortably dine at ease, children seem to be more than accepted.

For me I love the chicken liver pate with toast and salads are great... No potatoes or rice., but lovely pasta.

The service good, without hovering over you. some staff from Italy so charming.

“Bland food and not a great service”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

We went for a Sunday lunch since our original choice Ottolenghi up the road was too busy we settled for Carluccio's. Bad mistake!
The Arrancini we had as starters were acceptable but the same cannot be said for the main courses. We had ordered a fish stew and the spinach and ricotta ravioli and both were bland and without any flavour. The 'sauce' of the ravioli seems so have consisted only of butter and therefore the ravioli were swimming in a little sea of oil. Despite finishing our dishes we left the place still hungry as the portions were absolutely ridiculous.
The waitresses didn't seem to bothered about us not being too happy. Finally we waited for a good 10 minutes for the bill before we decided to go to the till ourselves to pay.
