“Very similar to Pret a Manger”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

We recently stopped by the EAT branch along the Queen's Walk near The Globe Theatre and found this to be a very similar shop to the Pret a Manger also found throughout the city.

EAT offers up a fair range of sandwich, soups, salads and other light bites, sold as fresh and healthy food options. Nice fruit and smoothie drink options available as well. Prices seemed reasonable.

Not sure we'd target an EAT branch over Pret a Manger but it seems a fair enough alternative option for those looking to try something just a bit different.

“Nice but small portions and overpriced”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

I went there out of convenience, as its very close to my office. I have worked here for well over a year and this was my second visit, as I try to ovoid places like this! I ordered the pulled pork hot pot, which was fairly tasty, but tiny and did not satisfy my hunger. I also ordered a very small bottle of juice and a miniature banoffe pie, which was smaller than a yogurt pot. The grand total was an eye watering £8.89. I was lost for words at the check out, as you will be hard pressed, not to get a far better value meal elsewhere.

“Gloop is still Gloop”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

Pushed for time so didn't use the adjacent Fullers Mad Bishop and Bear (mistake).Had the pulled pork hotpot which came with wild rice, coleslaw and a few gherkins (£4.95-you get what you pay for). The whole lot came as a mixture of some tasty and so non tasty glutenous gloop in a pot.Not nice ! Coffee was very acceptable.Whole lot came to less than seven quid.

At 1.45pm when I went to find a place to sit, there were dirty tables,an overflowing waste basket and an array of scavenging pigeons (avian rats by any other name). Not recommended despite the claim for "freshly cooked that day".Avoid unless you just want a sandwich and a carton of soup.

“Solid place to grab a quick lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

The location is great... right down the street from an office I was visiting in London. They have pre-made sandwiches, soups, and salads. Its definitely a good value.

“Good value for money and healthy food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

Just discovered EAT, I was a regular customer of Pret a Manger. Happily surprised by EAT, a large choice including soups, breakfast is fine and I particularly likes the poached egg with beans and ham to go. Calories are indicated for health addicts.
