I went on a walk at 11am from Angel tube today as part of the free walks day. What a treat. Everything from the history the Canal, to the Suffragettes, Dracula, German war planes being towed up Upper Street and the joy of post boxes. Super guide. Great fun. I was with three friends and we all enjoyed ourselves enormously. Thank you! Highly recommended.

I've joined two of the Association's walks, one on Islinton's involvement in the Spanish Civil War and another on Activism in Islington in the 70s and 80s. Both walks were excellent; well researched; expertly led; and a wealth of local information relating to the topics. I would recommend the Association's guided walks to anyone.

This was a hugely enjoyable and informative walk taking in many of the important facets of Islington's LGBT history, from the places Joe Orton lived and hung out to the sites where many LGBT "firsts" happened (such as the first gay marriage and the first gay rights march). The walk lasts for about 90 minutes and runs from the Angel, Islington to Highbury Fields, so not too long either in time or distance. Highly recommended!

Had a very enjoyable CIGA guided walk in Islington today visiting places associated with artists who once lived in the area and painted local landmarks. Knowledgeable and friendly guide who shared many amusing anecdotes about former inhabitants of this fascinating part of London. An informative and fun walk. Will definitely book with CIGA again.

I had the fantastic opportunity to take a tour of Canonbury Tower with an excellent guide. She was very welcoming, knowledgeable and smart. I was so impressed by this tour and guide that I look forward to participating in other tours led by Clerkenwell & Islington guides.
