we had a lovely meal here one night with our friends and the food was great, the wine that was available was good and the service was excellent. If you want a nice pub meal then this is the place and you eat upstairs away from the noise.

The perfect roast in London is an elusive beast but I think The Elgin comes close to the best I've experienced for a while. Friendly staff and a relaxed setting made it a great place to enjoy a tasty meal. As with many London roasts, the Yorkshire pudding was a little over done but well worth a try!

stylish place, friendly and cool staff, yummy burgers and great playlists. great for a night out with friends for dinner, even though music is a little loud, also perfect place to study during the day (free wifi). price wise slightly expensive though.

A bit disappointing. Food is just average, service a bit rubbish, and atmosphere isn't great, feels a bit soulless, handy location being only pub by tube in maida Vale but Better choices a walk away in St. John's wood, or heading towards westbound park,

The Elgin is fab - even though it's only 2 stops away on the tube, it's the kind of place I could almost live in if it was closer. Great converted old pub (love the original green tiles), friendly staff, great food and above all, DECENT COFFEE! As an Aussie living in London I always appreciate the rare cafe which does coffee properly. I can reassure you that the coffee here is well and truly up to scratch. Breakfast/brunch is also delicious - quality ingredients and interesting combinations.

Definitely a regular brunch hangout.
