We visited on a Sunday evening. The place is quite large but was almost empty so not much of an atmosphere. After we were were seated and noticed that some of the menus showed different items than the others which seemed a bit odd.
The food was served fairly quickly, but our shared starter had been completely missed. Draught beer choice was pretty limited and the Guinness was off.
Service overall was a bit poor. We'd probably have ordered another round of beers if anyone bothered to ask. No sign of any staff when we wanted to the bill so had to ask for it at the bar, and then go back up again to pay it.
The burgers are decent and the portions are good. Not the best burger I've had, but pretty good. Prices are reasonable (£7 - £9) and there's a 2-for-1 TasteCard offer which brings the bill down even more.
The Grand Union seemed like a pretty cool place a few years ago but seems to have lost its way. There's lots of other good burger places which do a better job.
