The Masala Zone is part of a chain and offers the possibility of an interesting, but inexpensive meal. The grand thalis involve choosing a main course (primarily curries). The curry comes in a bowl with rice on a large circular plate accompanied other dishes in bowls which change daily and also with condiments like chutney. It is a good way to sample a variety of dishes, and the quantities were certainly sufficient for us. We found the food to be very good, and each dish distinctive rather than all with the same sauce. I am sure there is better Indian food in London, but the price is right and the restaurant is simple and unpretentious. The service was pleasant. There is a limited wine list, but beer probably suits the food better.
