I used to live in Pimlico and never stopped in here (my mistake!) We were back visiting and stopped by one night because we were craving Thai. they were busy, but managed to squeeze us in without a reservation.

The food was so good we went back again! Express menu was a great option. Also love the fabulous red curry and the Tom Kha soup. The staff were very friendly and the prices were reasonable.

We found this restaurant around the corner from our hotel in London. What a find! Very nice folks run it and if you just want a little dinner you can have it, or if you are very hungry you can order several things. The Pad Thai was tasty, coconut soup very good, Emerald Curry yummy! The rice does not come with the curry but is an extra charge, which was a little odd to me. But overall we were very satisfied.

This was an occasional lunchtime haunt many years ago for me and I have recently returned (two weeks running with a third visit planned next week).

The food has always been consistently good, although they seem to have recently changed the lunchtime option. The 'Express' two courses for £10 offers a mini-starter together with a main course although it is disappointing that they are actually served together (at the same time on the same plate). If this is not your choice, you could share a proper starter, before having your main course - the Tempura Pak as a full sized starter is certainly enough for two. My main course choices are usually Gang Kiew Waan (Green curry) or Gang Ped (Red curry). The only problem is tipping the curry out onto the rice from a very hot bowl.

Unusually, we were overcharged on my last visit - 2 Express meals, a juice and a sparkling water should be £24 not £26.15. I should have checked the bill!

Went to Thai Cafe and Restaurant before going to Wicked. Delicious meal. Came out quickly which was good and the food was very tasty. The service was very good. I left my bag at the table when we left without realising and a waiter chased us quite a way down the road to return it. Would highly recommend! Good food and good service are hard to beat.

At short notice on a Sunday evening we were searching the web for Thai restaurants in London; most that are rated highly are expensive, and most that are reasonably priced have very average feedback. The Thai Cafe seemed to be both well priced and regarded, so we thought we would give it a go. It's an unassuming yet welcoming place in a fairly nice part of Pimlico, spread over two levels, with lots of the decoration that seems common to Thai restaurants in the UK. Service was great - efficient and friendly without being pretentious or overbearing. We shared three starters between two - fishcakes were tasty and lightly spiced so allowing the fishy taste to come through; minced chicken and prawn dumplings were mildly flavoured but very moist and with a good texture on the dough, served with a sticky sweet soy sauce; and the tempura vegetables were fantastic - a great range of veg (sweet potato; broccoli; courgette; peppers), in crispy batter and a sweet chilli dipping sauce. The curries for the main course however were the star - the duck curry had an intense depth of flavour, the creaminess of the coconut milk balanced superbly with the richness of the duck and the heat of the spicing. Green prawn curry had a deliciously nutty flavour that became more enjoyable as the meal went on. Both egg-fried and coconut rice were standard, but good accompaniments. Overall. great value for money - highly recommended.
