Description: The chic, petite Palm Court Brasserie is a slice of Covent Garden's piazza that will be forever Paris. With a classic Art Nouveau decor inspired by the Parisian brasseries of the 1920's, Palm Court's dynamic waiters in their black aprons hasten to the bustling tables with classic bistro dishes. Guests are certainly in no hurry to leave though, with locals enjoying a glass of wine at their own pace whilst families and friends enjoy a post-theatre dinner late in the evenings. Revisit brasserie favourites such as Steak Frites and Moules Mariniere, or sample the popular pan-Mediterranean offerings including Seafood Linguine and Roast Sea Bass Fillet. Available by the bottle or glass, the wine list always presents a perfect accompaniment, with a selection spanning the vineyards of France, Italy and the New World.

My partner and I visited Palm Court for the per-theatre menu. There was lots of choice and considering the restaurant is central London, the food and drink is very reasonably priced. This is the sort of place you would usually walk past, but I really do recommend visiting for dinner. The desert in particular was delicious (chocolate tart) and the service ran smoothly. We shall return!

Only complaint - restaurant so hot and tables packed in, very minor thing to mention though.

We don't often eat in places other than the usual standard Wetherspoons or Table Table etc., so this was a real treat. Everything from the service to the quality of the food was great. The prices were very reasonable for being situated in the Covent Garden area. The Theatre deal for 2 or 3 courses were exceptional value for money. Barek, our waiter was extremely helpful and patient.

I've dined here many times before and am a member of their Rewards Club, so I earn points for every visit. The location is perfect - right next to the Covent Garden Piazza. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The ratio of staff to diners is excellent so the service is first class. As well as the standard menu there are also Specials and a 2 or 3 course set menu which is great value. The food is consistently good and the portions are generous, too. There's always a real buzz about the place and dining here is a great experience.

The location was fantastic for theatres around Covent Garden and note that they have a good value pre / post theatre menu. This was my first time. The cooking was OK - more like a good pub quality than wow. I ordered half chicken sunday roast with a soup starter and a baked cheesecake for dessert. It came with a Bellini and all for £20 plus service as part of a Sunday roast menu which The service was exceptionally efficient, friendly & brisk which I liked as I was solo. The atmosphere was bright & cheerful. It was good value but not fantastic cooking - at or around the level of Cafe Rouge with good service. As a tip - a better value option for lunch (great prix fixe lunch menu) is Les Deux Salon near Charing Cross - an equally good location but better cooking and similar level of service. We ended up in the Palm Court Brasserie by chance, seeking somewhere for dinner before going to the theatre near Leicester Square. The place was very busy and there were no free tables, but the head waiter said someone was already 20 minutes late and if they did not arrive in the next 5 minutes, we could have their table. 25 mins on a Saturday seems quite reasonable. They didn't turn up, we got their table and were very happy we did. I had the moules mariniere and they were piping hot and super tasty. My partner had seafood linguine and said it was the best he's ever eaten. All that combined with two glasses of prosecco and a glass of red was £52 which is not at all bad for a Saturday in the west end. The head waiter had asked if we were going to the theatre and advised us to order only one course, given the tight timescale. Timing was perfect. The waiter who served us was a very energetic dreadlocked chap and didn't miss a trick - he was always there when we needed him, but not intrusive. Overall a fab experience and we will be back.
