I requested an upper floor garden view executive twin (2 queen beds), we were given a room for one night on the lower level (015), which was fine for the one night, but room 103, where we stayed the other four nights was just beautiful. The room was spacious, the bathroom large, the hall was quiet — overall an excellent stay. (The bed was remarkably comfortable.) I have one small suggestion for the hotel: the bathroom needs more storage. Perhaps a small table or rolling cart that can fit into a corner. Other than that, just right. Would definitely stay again. This location is perfect for British Museum and Covent Garden area. I selected this hotel as it is close to NYU London. Also, walking distance to the Russell Square tube station.

Room Tip: 015 has a musty odor and is on the lower level, not a deal-breaker, just letting you know. 103 is o...

Upon booking I requested a high floor at the back of the hotel. I telephoned the week before and was assured this was a request they could honour.

Arrived late morning and they let us store our bags so we headed out to see the sights. Upon our return we were assigned a room on the ground floor directly adjacent to the front door and reception. It meant passersby and guests gawped into our room and we could hear people banging doors all night. Everyone on the ground floor passed our room on the way to theirs and none of them were considerate! The room (007) was directly opposite the staff room and staff made no effort to keep the noise down. We asked to move, they declined. We were told whoever said we could have the requested room was incorrect. Obviously.

Room itself was nice although once the 8 cushions were removed from the bed there was no floor space left. There wasn't a toilet roll holder in the bathroom. Nice selection of sexist magazines to browse. Breakfast was OK, could have been replenished more often, glad I didn't pay extra for it though! They kept our bags until late evening which was great.
The room location disappointed us and they didn't attempt to make amends. I'll stick to the Premier Inn next time, their wifi is cheaper and at least they give you your money back if you don't sleep well!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and generally comfortable, although the bathroom had very little room in it, either for people or for more than one or two toiletries at a time. It was also generally quiet, except for a loud rattle every time the people in the room above us walked in their room. Breakfast was outrageously priced if not included in your booking, as the continental breakfast, which had a small assortment of fruits and meats, as well as a few pastries. There's a Pret-a-Manger around the corner - we ended up breakfasting there instead, for half the price.

One of my best experiences in London! Very nice hotel, clean, beautiful, comfortable, modern, renewed, with really nice employees. The location is also very good, beside the British Museum and 5 minutes walking from the tube station. I'll try to repeat next time I visit London!

Stayed here while I was on conference in central london recently. We got an executive suite for three people and the room was huge. It had two double beds plus an extra bed. Locationwise the hotel is very central. Its 5mins walk to Russel Square station, 10mins to Holborn Station and a few more mins to totenhamm court. The showers were also spacious. The only disappointment in the hotel was that toiletries provided were not consistent. We kept getting different brands of hair shampoo and body wash throughout our stay. This goes the same for towel provisions which would be left in different parts of the room every day. Some kind consistency would be nice. There were also no water bottles provided (which I guess I kind of expected granted that this was a 4 star hotel). The continental breakfast (which came with our room) was ok but can be tiring especially when you have the same thing for 6 straight days. Perhaps some rotation of their provision could be beneficial. Staff are really nice and helpful especially reception. Housekeeping kept our rooms neat although they sometimes forget to clean up the used tea cups that have been left earlier.

Really nice hotel, reasonable price for London. About 10 minute walk to Oxford Circus. Rooms are average size, regular double bed, small bathroom, with bath and shower. Perfect really and well maintained. Staff were really nice and helpful. A bit noisy with road outside, so maybe try for room at back.

Room Tip: A bit noisy with road outside, so maybe try for room at back.
