We stayed 4 nights in David's one bedroom flat. It was clean and very well supplied. There are many options for dining within easy walking distance, a large grocery store right across the street, and very good access (a five minute walk) to Tower Hill Underground station, Tower Gateway, the eastern most stops for the HOHO buses AND the Tower Hill Pier. Coming home to this lovely, tranquil setting each night after a busy day of sightseeing was so relaxing. We would definitely recommend this flat, and hope we'll get back to London someday to make use of it again ourselves.
It was everything we could have wanted in a stay in London. The view is fantastic, with the marina, the Tower Bridge, and The Shard all in view. We liked how bright the apartment is. Directions to find the apartment were detailed, clear, and incredibly helpful.
Location, location, location! This one bedroom apartment has one of the best location ever in one of my favorite spots of London. I loved the view and to be in the city centre for a week, simply amazing. The flat is part of a big old building but inside is cozy and nice with everything that you may need (especially in the kitchen). 10 minutes walking (wonderful stroll!) to Tower Hill station, a big Waitrose just few seconds across the road and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. You can walk to many parts of the city, like Monument, Bank, Liverpool Street, Aldgate and London Bridge.
David sent all detailed instructions for the flat before our arrival and the flat was clean and prepared for us (even with a cot for our baby).
I hope to stay at David's flat again in the future!
I was enjoying every day staying at this apartment. Lovely location, amazing view to the Tower Bridge and London City from the window.. just 1 min get to the supermarket, about 10 min walk to the underground, as well to the Tower Bridge.
Next time will definitely back there. Would very recommend.. location is also quite and again- Amazing!!!
Location and view is a peaceful location yet within easy reach (also walking along the river) to central. The actual building the flat is situated in is not the prettiest (ex council) but once inside you see beyond that for the views. Waitrose on your doorstep really handy. we would stay again.
This is my second time staying in one of David's flats in 2017. David is easy to deal with, responsive, and makes sure your needs and cares are taken care of. This flat was next door to the flat I stayed back in May 2017. Everything was in working order and all the amenities were relatively new. Both flats have a similar layout and provide plenty of room. This flat has a tub that sits rather high by American standards so if you have difficulty getting in and out of a tub keep this in mind. Across the street is a Waitrose so shopping for groceries was quick and easy. The appliances in the flat were relatively new and in good working order.
There are a number of local dining options within walking distance of the flat. I would recommend walking down into the Wapping area there are a few local pubs that are nice to hang out in. It is also a nice residential area.
The nearest tub station is Tower Bridge and is about a 5 minute walk. The City of London is a 10 minute walk so if you are in the City for business this flat is by far a better option than any hotel in the area. You are within walking distance to some of the finer dining options within greater London.
I will be booking with David again in 2018 when I return for business.
This one bedroom apartment apartment nestled in St Katherine's Docks in the shadow of Tower Bridge is a quiet, secure, convenient home base for exploring anywhere in London. The property includes a well-stocked galley kitchen (including clothes washer/dryer), a bath with tub, a spacious living area and bedroom, plus the bonus of a small deck over looking the yachts in the docks and Tower Bridge in the distance on warmer days. David, the owner, keeps in touch and provides excellent information about nearby sights and services, including a grocery across the street and numerous restaurants within St Katherine's yacht harbor. By walking through the docks area and onto the Thames pathway, you arrive at the Tower Hill underground station, a convenient 10-minute stroll. This is also the spot for entry into the Tower of London.
