The food was good although there was a hint of MSG in the food which I despise, services was average and the price was average for a London Japanese restaurant... we paid about £22 pp and we didn't order any alcohol or dessert.

Cosmetically, they can do with a fresh lick of paint. The restaurant smelt funny too and it wasn't pleasant... it soon disappeared once more people came into the door to order food, the restaurant eventually filled with food aroma - thank god.

Not sure if I'll go back but if you're really craving for Japanese around the area you might as well pop in.

Relatively cheap, fresh sushi. Hot sake was great too. For those complaining that it is Chinese run, who cares? Some of the best Japanese restaurants in Korea are Korean run. The best Japanese restaurant in Scotland is Scottish run. These guys are supplying good fresh food (it's on display) at a good price in a great atmosphere.

This place is always packed and they don't take bookings. There's a reason for that: it's the best Japanese restaurant for miles around and a friendly, reasonably priced local restaurant that also happens to be equidistant from Euston and St. Pancras. The other night we started with the edamame (hot, slightly salted, not the cold wet things you get in many other places) and gyoza (tasty fresh filling, not mystery meat), followed by a wonderful sashimi selection, tempura and a dragon roll. There were three of us and we had beers. It ended up coming to just over £20 a person. That's a bargain in London. A local treasure.

Standard Chinese restaurant doing Japanese dishes.
Always busy. (and noisy) People seem to love it. Baffled.

Central area, quite small restaurant. We ordered four spring rolls, a portion of 14 mixed pieces of sushi, one portion of seafood noodles and a bottle of water. The spring rolls were terrible, and the sushi and the noodles were not so bad but neither so good. It was nothing special, but we spent about 32£, that is not too much for sushi, so I think it is OK.
