The Victory Services Club is an all ranks services club in London's Marble Arch. It has been carefully and brilliantly upgraded in recent years, but without the usual hike in prices. It remains dedicated to providing a London base for service personnel, serving and retired, of the Allied nations, that is comfortable and friendly. This it achieves. The staff are welcoming and extremely helpful. They provide a reception service that is on a par with any 4 star hotel, and the Concierge desk will assist with all sorts of information about what's on, where to go, and most of all,how to get there. The restaurant is now a place to go and take your friends and prices are very reasonable. The bar is as good as any of the more expensive clubs downtown. I have used the Club for a number of years and it gets better all the time. Rooms are comfortable and now have all the amenities of a three/ four star hotel.

Room Tip: Book well in advance and ask for a room on the west side of the building

I have stayed in the VSC numerous times, and enjoyed every visit.
This time we stayed in one of the older suites in the Memorial Wing... these are in the process of being modernized, but were perfectly adequate and reasonable for the prices.
The breakfasts are incredible... as is the bar, very relaxed environment, attentive staff, and perfect location.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in one of the recently refurbished en-suite rooms in the Memorial Wing - and for value it just can't be beaten in London. Equal to any 4 star hotel, as a member for many years it seems to me it just gets better and better. I always enjoy the full English breakfast but additionally the restaurant can offer excellent value. Staff attitudes are, by and large, exemplary, and for anyone who has served (or is currenlty serving) in HM Forces it makes absolute sense to join.

Room Tip: Go either for the Centenary wing or one of the refurbished rooms in the Memorial Wing

This is a membership club located in central London near Marble Arch. To join you must be or have been a member of the military in a NATO country such as the US. For details go to: http://www.vsc.co.uk/
The hotel is constantly improving it's rooms and public areas. The rooms are small but impeccably clean. Many have been remodelded and are furnished with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and the windows are double paned to keep noise down.
Food in the club restaurant is good with breakfasts being quite complete.
A four night stay in a king bedded room came to a total of £460.00.
The porters and reception staff are always helpful is assisting the guests in finding there way around and booking services such as sighseeing busses.

Room Tip: Any of the remodeled rooms are very good. Those not yet fitted with double paned windows could suff...

We stay at the VSC every couple of months and its a haven of peace within hectic London - and in general its pretty great value. Staff in lounge and restaurant are unbeatable as are the cleaning ladies around the Club. Food is superb value both in the lounge and restuarant and the place is always clean and tidy. And my partner, who becomes a member in her own right loves staying her by herself or with other lady friends - feeling extremely safe and secure.

But it is irritating to have to wait for reception staff to finish telephone calls (sometimes quite lengthy) before turning their attention to people standing at the reception desk - it really does make you feel 2nd class! Come on VSC management, this is not acceptable.

And whilst refurbishment work is being carried out on the Memorial Wing floors we strongly suggest booking Centenary Wing rooms only..........

But, apart from these minor gripes, its the only place to stay in London for this ex-serviceman

Room Tip: Stay away from Memorial Wing while work continues (reckon they'll be good value when finished th...

There are tiny things that stop this from being a first choice place to stay. The concierge is very quick to ask to see my membership card, which means I have to juggle, case, laptop bag, handbag and find my purse...I would have done it anyway at check in but now I'm irritated! Room all looked fine and was, until I was ready to have a shower - designed as a disabled shower - almost unusable even for a 5'5'' shortie....massively irritated! I really want to like this place more it it doesnt seem to have things sorted out.
