This property rates highly in all areas, location, service, room, service, wifi etc.
Good restaurant or casual dining both at top end of scale. Breakfast can be busy but menu is good and operates well. Dress is neat casual.

Any overseas visitors please note, you can walk quite safely to: Harrods, Trafalgar Sq, Buckingham Palace, Princess Di Memorial, provided, of course you're reasonably mobile. As well Hop On/Off buses are close by. Hyde Park is wonderful.

An extremely satisfying and enjoyable stay overall for us. Highly recommended venue for those who qualify for membership.

I first found out about the club from a dusty little flyer pinned to a noticeboard. It's a club for serving or ex serving members of the UK armed forces and their families. Located just off Edgware road and within walking distance of Central London and Hyde Park it's in a fantastic location.

The staff are helpful and polite. The hotel was fully booked when I wanted to stay but they took the time to find me space. The rooms are comfortable, clean and functional but can be a bit loud when on the lower floors facing the road. It wasn't a problem for me but could be if you're a sensitive sleeper.

It's also great value, almost half the price of comparable hotels in similar locations.

Room Tip: High floors are quieter.

A most satisfactory experience overall. Some delays on registration were experienced and a more personal contact with the reception desk would have been appreciated. Otherwise a pleasant and comfoirtable stay.

I have stayed here many times. Each time my experience has been excellent. The rooms are not of the highest standard, but then you're not paying for that. The rooms are clean and sufficient.

The bar and lounge are very nice to sit in and enjoy a pre-prandial, or just to relax with family or friends. The restaurant is excellent, their curries are top quality, their dinner menu is extensive and will meet every taste. Wines are superb Simply superb.

Then there's breakfast. One of the best breakfast bars in London.

I have arranged membership for my daughter. I am comfortable when she stays here.

And, astonishingly, it's all very affordable!

If you can stay here, do.

Room Tip: Choose the refurbished rooms with en-suite.

I have been travelling to London for over 3 decades now and in all this period tried a range of accommodations in Central London area.

My recent week long stay at VSC rates as one of the best in terms of Value for Money.

From the time I landed to the time I left, it felt as if I had a home away from home. My every single need was taken care of. The facilties themselves are very clean and up to high standards. Be it the free wifi or the tea maker or the breakfast or the lounge bar or the formal restaurant.

Will definitely stay here more often in the future

Room Tip: Take shared facilities room if you are single and on a budget. They are real steal. Why pay for a ro...

A very good place to stay, right next to marble Arch, Oxford Street and a good walk through Hyde Park towards Buckingham Palace. Stayed for 3 nights, room was very clean. Good facilities, very attentive staff, good food and nice sitting areas to relax in.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the front if you want a wifi connection, otherwise you won t get it.

It has been many years since I was last at the VSC, what a change, all for the better. Stay one night, my room was very modern and very clean; being on the sixth floor this reduced the traffic noise. The public rooms looked very fresh. Breakfast was a buffet and was of a very good standard. For central London the VSC offers good value.

Room Tip: Select a higher floor room, less nosie from outside
