We visited on a balmy sunday afternoon for a drink
3 staff were stood talking whilst we waited to be served
I asked for half i got a pint
It was warm
The table was dirty and when the lady came she just smeared the dirt with a dry cloth
However
The pub was good the beer tasty the atmosphere good
I would go back as these were minor problems

A busy pub serving above average pub food. The menu regularly changes but is interesting, tasty and well prepared, although we did find our mains not as hot as they should have been when served - not worth a complaint. Incidentally, what we found was not the menu shown on the website that day, which was a shame. Not a great selection of real ales but wines were reasonable. Staff very pleasant.

We had made reservations as we were with 6/7 for supper.
This was well received and we got a nice table.
The place is very well decorated and has a cosy atmosphere.
We ordered drinks and so far so good but then we decided for food and ordered different things from the menu; some an appetizer as a starter and some just a main course.
It took 40 minutes before the first plates came , some were the starters , some the main courses. The sequence was totally a mess. And then it took again 30 minutes before the rest was served but one of the guests had to wait another 20 minutes more before her next order was served.
The waitress didn't apologise for this unusual inconvenience at all.
Probably this occurs here every night.
Anyway, we found this approach ruining our evening together and a very unkind way to treat your customers. Even the food was mediocre.
But then the bill !!!!
For this part they are extremely well calculating !
A cockttail is a usually a mix of drinks for a set price but here you have to pay for every ingrediënt ; so the drink can cost you about 5 or 6 times a normal drink. Just a crooky way to get your money !
It is a pity that we had cosen this place; the new management has a lot to learn about hospitality .

If you happen to in London I would make it a point to stop by for an evening. The Pigs Ear not only has a unique name, it also serves unique food and beer. The menu changes on a regular basis so its hard to recommend one thing or the other. Don't worry what ever is on the menu, you should be pleased.

Sitting by a roaring log fire pint of cold Guinness in one hand and a wholesome menu in the other!
What more can I say?
This is a gem of a gastro pub tucked away from the bustle of the Kings Rd
Nothing nicer than a bowl of Hot French onion soup, topped withncheesy crouton, on a -4 wind chill lunch time; followed by minute steak sandwich on poppy seeded bloomer
Horse radish had a great eye watering sinus kick -loved it!!
My friend who's very "Los Angeles" loved his vegetarian gnocchi -ate the lot!
Will definitely return
Very friendly and attentive staff, nothing too much. Good service, nice frendlay clientele, unhurried and just the ticket for a winters leisurely lunch
Thanks
