I changed all my plans around and ended up as far away from the theatre as I possibly could! Travelodge was typical Travelodge - not the friendliest welcome and was getting the 3rd degree on whether my 2nd guest would be coming or not. Would stay again as a base - I was in room 528 which had a fair bit of "passing traffic" in corridors outside.

It is close to train station, and easy to locate. It is very clean and very tidy. Restaurant evironment is good. The room environment is neat and clear. The window view is good. The bed is soft and comfortable, for a good sleep. The toilet and bathroom is spacious. The room rate is fare. Breakfast is served well with variety of food, charge is economical. The passage is bright and wide.

Very standard Travelodge room, no frills, bed, air con and a decent bathroom with decent food served at night in the bar.
Convenient walking distance to the tube, also very close to the millennium bridge and all the standard tourist attractions in London
Good budget hotel for short stays.

Arrived about 30 minutes before official check-in time but were given room key immediately. Desk staff friendly and efficient. Room reasonable size although only hanging space, no drawers or shelves. Big desk space under the window became clothes storage. Air conditioning worked fine although took a while to get setting right otherwise it blasted out cold air.
Room faced railway line but no noise whatsoever in the room, thumbs up for the double glazing. Windows obviously don't open
Adequate room in the bathroom and good flow from the shower, no bath if that is what you prefer. No bath mat!

They could have saved some money but not putting a window in my cell as all I could see was the side of a railway bridge about 6 feet away.

Fortunately the trains rumbled past so often that I stopped noticing them after a while.

The cell was actually comfortable although the TV was the size of a postage stamp.

The breakfast was edible but steer clear of the scrambled eggs unless you're on a high salt diet. The bread for the toaster was stale. The plates were freezing cold.

It's no Premier Inn.

Stayed: July 2014
Thank Peter M
