I would just like to say we have just had a wonderful long weekend in London and Southwark travelodge played a big part in this, the location is perfect for the London eye 15min, Tower bridge 20min, Trafalgar Sq 25 min. the rooms are spacious and well maintained, well done Travel lodge.

Great hotel which was very comfortable and convenient to the tube and buses enabling us to travel around London easily. Lovely breakfast and welcoming staff. The train line was out the back of the hotel but it was hardly noticed

Travelodge, southwark, london. Bet you thought I was going to say Premier inn. Stayed here a few times now we like the location it's not far from anywhere to walk to in london. The room was very clean spacious very good cleaning service clean towels sheets everyday our room overlooked the main road but did not hear much noise from the traffic we had a room two single beds were comfortable the bathroom was great very large no bath wet room excellent. We went out for meals two good pubs over the road a sainsburys, tesco just around the corner.Would go again recommended.

Nice little budget Travelodge equidistant between Southwark and London Bridge Tubes, the bright and bold Lord Nelson pub is just over the road. Great for access to the South Bank, Big Ben, London Eye, plus fab street food of every type at the fascinating Borough Market. Staff are pleasant and helpful, rooms affordable and clean, smell good. A short walk takes you to the River Front, the Shard, a slightly longer one takes you to St Paul's. A nice little neighbourhood getting regenerated.

The train line runs right past it, others have mentioned that the view isn't fab - but then that's not what you come here for. What it is, however, is a pleasant and comfortable and affordable base from which to have a great time in London and a fair bit of it within walking distance. Staff are good and the restaurant, with a nice view of the street below, serves decent food. A nice and welcoming pub for families called the Charles Dickens is just up the road, neighbourhood broadly safe and getting regenerated.

Been here several times, recommend it and a good base from which to explore the capital.

On Redcross Way not far from here is quite a moving little place and shrine by wasteland that was formerly a pauper graveyard for workhouse children and other workers given licences by the Bishop of Winchester, well worth a visit.

Room Tip: Take it as you find it, they're all comfortable and fairly well insulated though those on the no...

Great value. Comfy bed. Clean room. Easy walking distance of southbank. Only things I would change....should be another towel, a hand towel would be good. A bath mat would've helped and sorry to be crude but guests have to put their hands down the loo and clean poop or leave dirty , which I could never do!

As soon as you walk into the room, the room smelt nice! Just what you want from a hotel.
The view wasn't fantastic, it was of the train lines, but who cares - the location is fabulous, a short walk from Southwark station.
I couldn't hear the trains at all.
The food was nice, the staff attentive, the shower worked perfectly.
The decor was a bit 80s with the baby blue and the red thing going on,
The bathroom is clean and bright,
The bed was nice and comfortable - which again, is all that matters :-)
