All you could ask from a budget London hotel.

200 meters from Tube (Jubilee line); spacious, clean, comfy room;quiet; friendly helpful staff and a decent breakfast. Also within walking distance of the Southbank and Borough market.

stayed here for 1 night as a family of four. room was very clean and fairly basic. nice clean towels and 1 large double bed and 2 single put u up beds. mattress on these were a bit lumpy but kids didn't complain. tv in room and air con unit. our view was of the offices opposite but we only paid £71 for the room and paid £6.50 each for breakfast but kids ate free!

breakfast was basic. scrambled egg, bacon, sausages, beans and tomatoes. there was also cereal, croissants and muffins with tea, coffee and juice. what more could you ask for?

there is a lift to reception but beware they will not let you check in any time before 2.30pm or its a £10 charge! we were 15 mins early and still wouldn't let us in!!!

Smashing large clean family room. Hotel in a very convenient position, just a few hundred meters from the tube.
The staff were lovely and very helpful, but at breakfast there didn't appear to be enough staff to cope and breakfast was chaos!
There wasn't enough cutlery and when it arrived it hadn't been washed well and still had traces of food on it, the same should be said for the plates, and side plates took so long to materialise that I had to use a bowl for toast! They kept on running out of food, sending the few staff running around trying to cope.
Otherwise the hotel was excellent, with fantastic views of The Shard.

This was an excellent place to stay for a visit to all the London sights. Nice and quiet in the evenings and overnight. Well sited for the Imperial War museum. Tube very close on the Jubilee line. The hotel gave us everything we had asked for.

As reviews have mentioned this is ideally situated for the tube, short walk for the jubilee line.

Travelodge had the reception on the first floor, very pleasant staff, mentioned hairdryers and irons were available and just ask if required.

I was on the 6th floor with view of the Shard, 2 train lines but not overly noisy, Room was large and refurbished. Usual Travelodge interior.
Lovely fluffy towels and had hand and shower gel in units on the wall. Bath with shower in the room.

Had an evening meal in the cafe/bar, meal deal a course and drink for just under £10. The food was basic but nice and served quite quickly.

Breakfast served in the cafe bar area, again basic but adequate.
Staff very friendly.

There is a small convenience store next door.

I would stay here again.

My room was on the sixth floor at the rear of the hotel. Even though it was adjacent to two intersecting railway lines, it was not noisy. Probably this was due to the high level, but also the room had AC, so it was not necessary to open the window.
The hotel is in an old and interesting part of London and it is a few tube stops away from the West end.
It represents good value for money against today's inflated London prices, but do try to book early, to get the cheapest rooms.
There are plenty of reasonable restaurants in the area, so you are not obliged to eat the somewhat limited Travelodge food.
