“An average stay”
Reviewed 2 April 2017 for a stay in March 2017

My husband, sisters, nieces and I stayed at this apartment from 25Mar to 28Mar. Emily who met us at the apartment is friendly and gave us some information about the area.

I rated this an average stay because of the following reasons :

There is a problem with the drainage. When we used the washing machine, the waste water was draining into the kitchen sink and at a point, I was thinking I hope it does not flood the kitchen. To make the matter worse, the water took ages to completely drain away from the kitchen sink. Hostmaker did send their handyman to take a look at the issue. Hostmaker was apologetic and informed us that the incline of the drain pipe is not at the right level. That we should stop using the washing machine as there is nothing they could do at that time.

There are only 4 dining chairs in the apartment and there were 6 of us.

There are only 4 mugs and 3 of them are badly chipped. Could not find any oven gloves as it was needed when we used the oven.

The extractor fan in the bathroom does not seem to be working hence condensation is very bad in the bathroom after showering.

You can see mould round the bedroom window and the blind (the bedroom beside the bathroom) due to all the condensation issue.

Check out time was 11am however the cleaner turned up way before that. Some of us were having breakfast, packing and showering when she let herself in.

I would have rated it good if all the above issues do not exist.

Location wise, it is good as it is close to Elephant & Castle Underground Station, bus stops and Sainsbury's. Borough Market is about 15 minutes walk from the apartment. It is a nice modern apartment.

I would recommend this apartment only if the above issues have been resolved.

Would you recommend this hotel to a friend?   No.

Management Response
17 Apr 2017
Dear guest - we are sorry that you had a less than perfect stay in this apartment. Whilst we always try to ensure that the home is maintained to the best standards, sometimes some issue do occur that are out of our control. That said, we will take all necessary steps to rectify the issues you have pointed out. We are due for a full restock of the kitchen as things do break with regular use. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will come back for a more perfect stay with us
