Close to the Paddington train station, needed an Indian food fix after a long train journey, decided to venture out of the station and found this restaurant. Varied menu, a business colleague and I decided to go with the "Chef Special" offering an appetizer, two meat dishes and a vegetarian dish, rice, naan, dessert, tea/coffee for two priced at 29 pounds thinking this would be plenty for the two of us grown adults.
Out comes the appetizer, a combo tandoori chicken and lamb shish kebab sampler on a small quarter plate, 2 kebabs slightly larger in lengthy than a AA battery, and a piece of chicken which we devoured in one bite. Next up, main course, two curries, veg curry, ONE nan and one little portion of rice. So we order two mango lassi, and have to order another Naan and rice as splitting just wasn't enough to compliment the curries which were delicious. We ordered two papadaams.
Dessert time, an offer of vanilla ice from the waiter, hello? Indian Restaurant, how about mango ice cream or kulfi? No such luck. So we go with ice cream....out it comes three little scoops in one little dessert bowl with two spoons. Got to be kidding!
Grand total 48 pounds... bottom line great quality and taste, but the value for the money is just not there.
