I visited with a friend, mid-week, late evening.

Restaurant was pretty quiet, not surprising for the time of day. The bonus for us was very attentive staff. Quite often in establishments when things are a little slow, the staff tend to be also .. not here.

The food was classic Italian with an individual twist, which I can only put down to various herbs and spices used in the cooking process .... it was very tasty. Would recommend on the basis of my experience, I have no idea what the place would be like if it was very busy.

Passed this restaurant and saw them serve what looked like lovely Bruschetta and decided to go in. The Maitre'd was superb and found us a table. Our mistake was we spotted Parmigiana on the menu and this is a dish we have had many times in Italy and all over the world and I cook it myself. Our waitress was a bit surly (Daniela) but took our order after explaining two of the wines by glass were unavailable....strange! Our Parmigiana duly came but was lukewarm and when we tasted it there seemed to be little or no cheese flavour but an overload of tomato puree....a massive overload of tomato puree and not the sweet tasting kind from fresh tomatoes. The Maitre'D asked if all was well and we half heartedly said OK but he didn't pick up on it. Daniela came to take our unfinished plates and we said it hadn't been hot and was overloaded with tomato puree...we got a lecture on how Parmigiana should taste and that it was essentially tomato and that it was all 'home made' - unlikely in a restaurant chain. Sad because I think we just got a bad dish and a waitress on a day that she seemed to be wanting to do something else. The Lady that brought our bill was lovely as was another waitress that served us water. The Parmigiana a huge let down.

We visited this restaurant on the recommendation of our Italian friends and we were not disappointed by the food which was excellent. The pizza we ordered was superb and cooked to perfection. We also had a pasta dish which we enjoyed. However, the evening was spoilt by poor service. Once seated, our waitress came over and was very abrupt. When our meals were served we were not told 'bon appetito' - the food was just placed in front of us and that was that. During the meal, we saw one waiter shouting at a waitress with exaggerated expression and gesticulation. At the end of the meal, a 12.5% service charge had been added to our order, which we felt obliged to pay as they had already included it into the total of the meal without asking us. However, if the choice had been given I would not have tipped them for the service at all as it was so unsatisfactory. If you want to eat a fabulous meal then I would highly recommend this restaurant and would give the meals five stars; the service though is much to be desired.

Had a really fun experience here as the staff were very friendly and very helping in what to choose from the menu. Next time I would go there in a larger group.
