“Comfortable Boutique Hotel, Great Location, Friendly Staff”
Reviewed 12 August 2014

The Hotel Indigo is very convenient, being so close to Paddington train station and local amenities. I've just returned from a two night stay but have stayed at this hotel several times before and the rooms are spotlessly clean with everything you need for a really comfortable stay. The only negative is that the room I stayed in this time was tiny! It was at the back of the hotel whereas I have previously stayed in the larger rooms at the front. The staff are very helpful and friendly, particularly Mario, Roger and Juan Manuel on reception. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable boutique hotel in a great central London location.

The staff is outstanding and truly is committed to superb customer service. The room was lovely, the bed extremely comfortable and the amenities were terrific. It seems they think of everything. I loved it and will go back. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is close by the Paddington Station and near great restaurants and attractions. There is a bus stop for the "Big Bus" Tour right across the street. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great staff welcome on reception, Juan Manuel and Roger do meet and greet and paperwork while Mario does portering. Our one night's B and B experience was a surprise as we were bumped up from our booking at The Quality Crown to this sister hotel where we had often had meals, and we had a room each!
Good air-con, ( London was warm), boutique shower room with many towels, Aveda free goodies, dressing gown, towelling slippers and hairdryer, so no need to pack these items. Good range of tea bags and nespresso machine for espresso addicts. Hotel was clean quiet and soothing, popular with all nationalities.

Room Tip: This is a very helpful hotel if you are unhappy with your room they will sort for you.

I booked Hotel Indigo in a hurry. The front desk staff are warm and friendly; always eager to help. The mini frig with complimentary drinks is a bonus. The bath room space and amenity are great. However, the bed room is tiny, even in London standard. Not even any space to lay down any piece of luggage. For the $ paid, I would have found a compatible hotel with a little more breathing room. It is definitely a clean and comfortable hotel with great staff. However, I won't consider it of any good value, due to the cramped space provided - it is a desk butting against a bed, with a TV right on above the desk looking into you. Unless the hotel rate becomes competitive, I will not return this hotel.

Room Tip: Don't ever book the Single Room. Book at least a Double room.

Dear Peter,

Many thanks for your recent review and we are pleased you gave us a 5 star for service, which really does go a long way with us and my staff.

Please do accept our apology that you found your room smaller than expected. we have many different sized bedrooms and should you stay with us again, I would like to recommend you try one of our Executive Kings which I know you will love.

Kind regards

Starting with localization, just great - 2 min walk from main station paddington. Extremely friendly staff - at check-in (fast, sympathetic, professional and attentive). Room was relative small (for king size bed) but comfortable and very clean. The breakfast in hotel was great and also plenty of places too eat around the area if you opted not to have breakfast in.

Great location. Just a few blocks to Paddington station. If you fly into Heathrow, I recommend taking the 15 minute Heathrow Express train to Paddington. There are restaurants very close by, along with a few small convenience stores. I was a little hesitate to book based on complaints of street noise from previous reviewers. I'm happy to say that we had a room facing the street, and it was really quiet. You do hear the occasional loud muffler, but you don't hear every car that goes by. At night, it was quiet. But they do provide earplugs if needed.

The room and bathroom was small - but we loved it. It was fine for 2 people. The bed was comfy, just the pillows were too flat for me.

I can't say enough about the staff! Everyone was very helpful. We especially enjoyed talking with Mario (morning greeter by the restaurant) before heading out for the day. He really went above and beyond! He had an answer for everything we asked, from transportation to restaurants, shopping, even the post office! We were only scheduled for 3 nights, but stayed an additional night because we liked the hotel so much!

Nice hotel just cross the street from Paddington station. Very convinent if you travel by the express train to and from Heathrow. It's also about 15 minutes walk away from Marble Arch/Oxford St. The rooms are very stylish, but a bit small. It's hard to fit in two normal sized suitcases. Otherwise a nice hotel, with many nice touches.
