“Very nice, quiet hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 May 2014

We stayed here on a recent trip to London for the football playoffs. We chose the hotel due to its easy access to the right tube lines and to theatre land.

Our room was small but had some of those little extras which are missing from some 'boutique' hotels. We had complimentary water, still and sparkling, dressing gowns and slippers (not that we needed them), tea and coffee making facilities. Manchester Street appears to be a quiet residential street in Marylebone, which was great for us in that there was no traffic noise in the evening. There is access to Baker Street tube within 5 minutes walk and thee are some lovely little pavement cafés and restaurants within 5 minutes in the other direction.

Staff were polite and helpful, the place was clean and well looked after. Our only reservation was that there wasn't much of a bar area (more like seats to which drinks could be brought at the end of the small dining area) and there was no real atmosphere here when returning for a night cap in the late evening.

Nevertheless, this is a lively little place, conveniently and quietly located sufficiently close to, yet far enough away from the hubbub of the capital. Oh and by the way, Blandford Street has a little Italian place that is open for a fry up if you want one!

As with most London hotels, tiny rooms. Nice boutique feel to the the service. Seems like family-run. With a wintergarden, cigar-lounge and shop.

As always breakfast is overpriced and underdelivered. Good internet, we had it included, not sure if that is standard.

Faultless service in every area especially concierge who was willing to chase taxis for us at all times and never failed to secure one within minutes - brilliant !.The breakfasts were perfectly cooked but my wife and I both had tepid tea pots which were replaced with nice hot tea when asked for.I trust the kitchen staff have now been trained to boil water. My daughter found this hotel when researching her visit from Australia where she lives and has stated that she would certainly stay here again,my wife and I would like to say the same. What better recommendation.

Room Tip: We had room 305 the bathroom of which necessitated the window blind being pulled down for privacy fr...

Excellent location, fantastic little hotel. Just that little bit of class that you need when you're away from home! Stayed here 3/4 times now and loved it each time! Breakfast is also brilliant. Can't fault it.

As everyone seems to point out, the location is great. There are lots of nearby shops, restaurants and pubs. Selfridges is only a five minute walk away; there are lots of cute shops just a couple of minutes away. It's also convenient to Oxford Street and Baker Street tube and bus routes. The neighborhood is quiet, charming and safe.

The hotel itself is a boutique hotel with decent sized rooms. We were very comfortable there. Service was very attentive. There was always someone in reception to greet us when we walked through. The one meal we ate at the restaurant was very good.

Perfect location you can walk to oxford street, lovely shops and restaurants nearby , hotel is well maintained, staff excellent , clean, lovely rooms.
Only one comment I liked it better before the hotel changed and now have a specialist chef in restaurant (I'm sure very good) but it was nice to go into bar and chill out and not pay exorbitant prices , but do love the hotel .

Excellent location, really convenient close to Baker St. station. I had a room before the check-in time under request about 3 hours before the standard time. The decoration was really nice and the bathromm didn't smell of bleach.
