Went to river island with my teenage daughter and she bought a quite expensive bag. When she came and found me I asked her why didn’t you receive a plastic bag for it and so she asked for a plastic bag and she had to show a receipt to prove that she bought the bag. When I questioned the service to the staff members they were actually really rude and had an attitude about it and argued back to me . The customer service was disappointing and I definitely will not shop there again and generally I felt like they treated my daughter who is a teenage girl very different to an adult in the way that they automatically thought she stole the bag and she didn’t receive a professional experience by the staff who serve her.

Massive complex with every type of shop you can think of. Very busy on weekend with kids as you'd imagine and the food courts absolutely rammed. Especially liked the luxury quarter. Get a VIP card if your staying in one of the hotels like the Hilton for discounts.

Talk about extortionate carpark rates! An otherwise nice day out at the mall, ruined by the car park rates. Would have loved to spend much much more time at the mall but with these rates, not likely. Mental. Shame really, lots of places to see, dine, entertain and shop but not at these absurd car park rates.

The original Westfield in London is a large shopping mall a couple of minutes walk from Shepherd's Bush tube station. It lacks the charm and interest of the Stratford version but is still a collection of major shopping names in one place.

Getting to Westfield is simple as the station is designed to ferry people towards the mall. The first area of Westfield to access from the station is a row of restaurants and an upmarket supermarket. Inside Westfield itself there are plenty of premium brands but also the major High Street stores in a convenient indoor location.

What is a little disappointing about the place is there is little charm. It is all the big guys here with hardly any unusual shops and the restaurants are largely chains. The food court in Stratford is much more interesting than here.

A real plus is the maps. It is so easy to navigate this mall thanks to the clear maps which are easy to use.

During a weekday Westfield is busy but not oppressively so. There is still more than enough space to cope. There are few seating areas in the mall so getting some rest while shopping is not all that easy.

Westfield is not really a destination. It is more a collection of major brands. There is not much in the way of entertainment or interesting dining so the major purpose is just shopping.

We didnt expect the Westfield shopping centre to be so big. It is huge. Eveeything you could possibly need it want is here under one gigantic roof.
You really need to reserve a full day to come here to get around everything.
Huge selection of places to eat, as you would expect, and the foodcourt has some great choices to: Lebanese, Vietnamese, etc.
We made the mistake of coming mid afternoon so didn't have enough time to go around it all and appreciate it fully.
Will definitely be going back
