I have been going to Maison Kayser since it opened, it is by far the best bread you can have, I usually buy the sourdough bread but today they had something different it was Buckwheat and Charcoal- outstanding. The breads might be a little pricey but well worth every penny. Well done Maison Kayser

Well located at the south end of Baker St, this French artisan baker eaterie is about a year old. It has a commanding presence from outside, but inside it is a little disappointing. Comfortable, yes, it's OK, but function and form have taken the place of design, and this makes it fairly characterless. A missed opportunity.
But the food offering is good. You can take away the best of French breads, croissants, pain au raisin etc as well as sit down to breakfast or lunch. It closes at 6pm.
The menu is broadly French, but it has dashes of English cuisine to suit all tastes. So you can have French, Viennese or English breakfasts, for example. There is a good choice of omelettes, eggs Benedict, pancakes, pain perdu (french toast, fruit salad, maple syrup), goat cheese or avocado tartine, salads, even a salmon burger - these are other good examples of the food range available.
And it all tastes very good indeed. The cappuccino was excellent. Prices are London prices and are what you would expect.
Worth a visit? Yes, There are plenty of alternative choices in the immediate area, but Maison Kayser does offer something different.

nice clean and well positioned restaurant and very quiet. genuinely French and so you expect a reasonable standard. We passed it and it looked attractive. I had the battered fish which was mainly batter and my guest had a hamburger with bacon that was not cooked in the right way. the restaurant was right priced but we felt ripped off. The kitchen was slow particularly given how quiet it was.

The location is very central on Baker Street near Selfridges. It is ok for a snack as the menu is limited. The service was friendly.
I didn’t like the look of the pastries so I wouldn’t recommend them. They do a nice breakfast- different types of eggs on the menu.

Had the eggs benedict and latte on Sunday morning, it was quiet in the cafe area with only a couple of other customers in, but the bakery are seemed busy with customers popping in for bread and pastries. Breakfast was nice but a little cold when it arrived at the table. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Quite expensive at £16.80 though. I got 2 croissants and a flat white coffee to take out (for my daughter!) which was more reasonable at £6.40. I can see why the bakery is popular, lots of lovely looking bread and pastries.
