Food always excellent. Caring service. Love the white Cankaya (hope that's spelled right). Fresh, well presented ingredients. Good atmosphere and fabulous breads!

Belsize Village is a small neighborhood shopping area not far from the Premier Inn on Haverstock Hill. Beyoglu is the local Turkish restaurant, and to my surprise it was more than just OK, it was quite good. Compared to, say, London's Sofra chain, the menu is sophisticated, with appetizers like the ispanak tarator that I had, blending spinach, garlic and yogurt, as well as a number of house specialties new to me.

The adana kebab, always my go-to dish in a Turkish restaurant, was very nicely spiced, and a generous serving. I didn't order dessert, but some Turkish delight was offered with the bill. My only food disappointment was that they do not serve apple tea.

Service was friendly, helped perhaps by the fact that I came quite early on a Saturday evening; more diners were just starting to filter in around 6:15. The restaurant is long and narrow, with many tables set up so that one diner eats with his/her back to the wall.

I walked from my hotel, but Beyoglu is just a short walk from the Belsize Village stop for the 268 bus. It is worth travelling to; it's too good to just leave to the locals.

Nice local restaurant.
Had mixed kebab - all of which was beautifully marinated and cooked. Decent side salad, and excellent accompanying chili sauce and garlic sauce, although you need to ask for these.
Bread was ok.
The Turkish house wines, (Cankaya), are both very good, the white is light and crisp, and the red is light bodied but with enough bite to stand up to the food. They are also good value by the 250ml glass when compared to the bottle. Worth seeking out.

We live not far from this restaurant and visit them fairly often. The decor is pleasant, service is good, food is tasty, portions are big and price is attractive. Came here with my wife again and had mixed meze with bread, dolma, halep kebab with salad and adana kebab with rice. We were both very happy with the meal.
