Lovely clean hotel, very friendly staff, great value for money. Central and near to station. Has a restaurant, food good. Excellent choice for breakfast. The side of the hotel nearest the road would be my choice rather than the train side. Otherwise you could not find anything to complain about.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the street side of the hotel and not the railway side if possible.

No complaints. A basic place to lay one's head. Clean and with a comfy bed. On ground floor, the double glazing kept the noise out. Air conditioning, though a bit noisy, was a Godsend in the hot summery evenings. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was plentiful. Brilliant location. Would stay again.

Room Tip: If you are unhappy with your room, the staff will try their best to change it.

stayed for 7 nights with my partner.room was on 3rd floor and very clean and comfy.was a bit hot and not much of a draft from leaving the window open.a bit of traffic noise, but thats to be expected if you are right in a big city.staff was very friendly and helped with any problems.location was very good as central to all the big sights to see and bus stops close by and local shops and bars.loved our stay here and we was sad to have to go home.already we are looking into coming back to london to have another great adventure and this hotel is top of our list to stay again :)

Room Tip: prob best to ask for a room higher up on the top floors if you want to escape from the traffic noise

Clean, cheap room. But this one was hot--there is no ventilation without the window open, which lets in noise from the trains next door. And WiFI requires awkward codes. Not ideal for business trips. T

I stayed here recently on a short visit to London. Flying into Gatwick you are dropped at London Bridge station and can be in the hotel in 15 minutes by foot. It is a 2 minute walk from Tower Bridge, right by the financial district. It has 2 pubs directly outside, but no noise can be heard. From the front of the hotel there are views of the Shard and the "gherkin". It is also a 1 minute walk to the tower of London, and a one minute walk to the nearest underground. The staff are very friendly and seem to be genuinely interested in their guests. If you're a light sleeper, I would recommend a room that doesn't face the DLR track, but that really didn't bother me at all! WOuld stay there again if I was back in London, without a doubt.

Room Tip: As I mention in my review, light sleepers should ask for a room that doesn't face the DLR rail t...

I stayed for a 3 day break on 4 July, arriving after a long coach journey, reception staff informed us that there was no water at all in whole hotel. We were not offered alternative facilities and had to wait 4hrs til water was turned back on.

Reception staff were very polite and friendly. Our double room was clean and very comfortable bed. Good power shower and coffee making facilities in room. It would have been beneficial to have drawer space for clothes as only small clothes rail available. It was exceptionally hot weather and fan did not cool room to comfortable temperature. Outside noise did not disturb my sleep when window was closed.

The hotel location was perfect, a two minute walk to underground at Tower Hill and Tower of London. Lovely pub 'Minories' for food and entertainment next door to hotel.

Breakfast was basic and hot food was not replenished frequently when it ran out.

Housekeeping left piles of dirty laundry, dirty glasses and plates outside each room. They did not leave enough towels, no toilet paper, and didn't service the room at all on second day!!

I was disappointed that Travelodge did not get the basics right!
