I had hardly any problems with this hostel. We went here with a group of Dutch students on a study trip, and we were given three rooms just for ourselves.
Pros:
- Clean rooms, beds and showers - contrarily to other reviewers, we did not find the showers hard to find at all, they are indeed in the basement but there are signs pointing the way there.
- Free WiFi - doesn't always work in the rooms but works fine in the common area
- Message boards in the common area, providing tips and ideas for activities in London
- Clean kitchen and dining room
- Excellent security - you have to show your key card everytime you enter the hostel, the personnel is very strict about this, which does make you feel safe
- Location: very nice neighbourhood, park nearby, some shops and a Tesco, and the best thing is it's very very close to a tube station

Cons:
- The beds are small. I'm about 1,65m so I had no trouble sleeping in them, but my taller friends had to sleep with their feet outside the bed. Some people in the other rooms just put their matresses on the floor, which also works.
- Our room was quite small - we had a six-bed room with six girls, but there was enough room for our stuff. Walking around however was not really an option.

By the way, when visiting this hostel, bring your own pillow case, the one provided is a paper one, which I think might be a bit uncomfortable.

Overall a good hostel, I personally had no problems with it whatsoever. Might not be a good idea to bring kids as the rooms are quite small, but for students or other buget conscious travellers this is fine, really :)

The good bits: 2 min walk from the station and the museum and quite close to shops pubs etc. The staff did their job, nothing more nothing less. Beds were clean and bathrooms reasonably clean.

Bad bits: The room had little/no ventilation and was absolutely boiling. You sweat just laying on the bed and this is coming from an Australian. The common room was air-conditioned but had all the atmosphere of a dead fish. No one talks or makes eyecontact. The showers are reached via a maze of doors, stairs and corridors, bring a friend or a GPS. Push button tap at one set temperature that turns off after approx 10 seconds and you have to push again.

There are much better places to stay for the same price but as a last resort it'll at least give a clean bed in a good location and feel secure.

Funny enough I was so in a hurry to book any cheap room in Euston area, that I never checked Trip advisor reviews beforehand... I must say none of the reviews below is exagirated... Sad but true. The most noisy hostel in the world, I got 3 h sleep out of 8 I was meant to! The walls are shaking when people walking, smashing heavy doors.
No discipline, no order, no consideration for other..
The showers at the end of the world in a basement, the breakfast very basic but the cheapest possible and you can taste the cheap, the service at the reception was OK and even expressed a concern about my sleepless night by giving me an opportunity to write a formal complain to a manager, who probably even did not bothered to read it... Why should he? The hostel is big and in a good location, the pople will always come along to stay there. Who cares..
But the peopple won't come back.

Not too many complaints about the room, except that it was really noisy from the corridors and had no powerpoints. The worst part of the hostel was the shower experience. Had to head down about 3 flights of stairs to the basement and shower in a big communal area. You basically had to hang your towel/clothes in the entry area and either wear bathers, or walk naked to the shower. The shower was cold, and lasted about 10 seconds. There were no signs on how to get back to the room area, but eventually found the way through the full lounge room and foyer areas, which isn't pleasant when you've just got out the shower! Would never go back again...

Hostel is very basic, rooms are very, very small, beds are only for small people. Location is good, free wi-fi at reception and dinning room.
