Great location, perfect for our Family trip to London. Spacious apartment with all amenities. Accommodating landlord.
We had a great stay in a West Kensington. Apartment is spacious, well equipped and close to a well stocked market and three underground stops (West Kensington station seems to be the closest.) Everything went well!
The apartment was a great location and a great sized apartment for a family. Excellent access to transport
The apartment was just what we were after: spacious and comfortable, equipped with everything that we needed for our short stay. The power shower mentioned in one of the other posts was excellent and the bathroom was fitted out to a high standard.
For us, the location was excellent. Close to several bus routes to Hammersmith (5 min walk; 5 min journey) and buses into Central London (same 5 min walk; 30-45 min journey past many familiar landmarks). Several great pubs serving real ale and food in easy walking distance (Fullers Hand & Flower being particularly good).
The owner, Dom, was flexible with the check-in time and was waiting to meet us when we arrived; communication before and during our stay was excellent.
We were met at the property, by the owner, who agreed to adjust the check-in time to suit our needs. Thanks for that!
The apartment was clean and spacious - quite enough for a small family to use on holiday. The beds were slightly less firm than we prefer, but that is a personal preference. Parking is not straightforward in this area of London, so if you require this, make sure you plan ahead. However, the apartment is about a 5-10min walk to West Kensington Station, and there are buses available just 30 seconds away from the apartment. Therefore, if you don't need to leave London, you can manage quite adequately without a vehicle of your own.
Given that the apartment is within a complex, it was surprisingly peaceful, and at no time were we disturbed by other occupants, in fact we rarely crossed paths with other people when entering/leaving the building. Being on the 3rd floor, it is also difficult to be disturbed by any sound at street level, although this is a quiet residential street in any case. The apartment does not have its own balcony, but it is possible to go out onto the fire esacpe and take in a 3rd floor view of London, which we did on most mornings.
Although this is not a particularly high-crime area, we were still grateful for the added security measures. It is not that easy for an unauthorised person to gain access to the building, much less an apartment.
The apartment had Wifi, which came in handy when planning what to do each day. We experienced some issues with it on a couple of mornings, but I believe the issue is at the ISPs end, and could not find any fault with the router etc.
I would definitely recommend this apartment if you want to stay somewhere quiet, and still be within easy reach of Central London. The owner was also contactable and willing to help with any queries, and this made the whole experience better.
I was visiting Kensington Olympia for an exhibition and stayed with colleagues. It was a couple of minutes walk to the venue. The apartment itself is brilliant and imaginatively styled with lots of interesting features and very clean.. It is well equipped for a stay. The bathroom had a power shower. The building is very quiet in leafy grounds which are gated so you feel very secure. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Overall a great experience.
Had wonderful stay in this comfortable and clean apartment in classy building.
Great location - neighbourhood felt very safe wandering around with restaurants, bars, little shops and museums nearby. Very close to tube and buses so didn't have to use taxis. Would definitely stay again if in London.
